The Rookie Season 7 Part 1

Tim and Lucy undercover

(Picture this as an ep1, ignore the situation with Oscar escaped in 6x10 and everything. For now everything's normal)

They've been sent on an undercover together, acting as a rich couple called Sasha and Michael. They run a hitman business and "Sasha" is a chemist. Perfect for luring gang and people running large drug ops.

Right now they are laying low acting "normal" waiting to be approached by someone so they can offer up their skills. Currently they are living at the massive mansion they've been put in, it's been a week since it started and it's of course awkward. The old couple living together, even if it's just for an undercover.

They're sitting silently on opposite ends of the couch scrolling/texting on their phones.

Lucy: Tim?

Tim: Yeah?

Lucy: How long you think this is going to take?

Tim: I'm not the one who went off to UC school.

Lucy: I- Yeah but

Tim: It'll take however long it takes.

Lucy: Surprised you even came. Your whole undercover-hatred and everything.

Tim: Are you really still mad at me?

Lucy: I get why. You aren't over everything. But it still hurt.

Tim: I'm sorry. Can we not talk about it right now though? I mean who knows how long we have to live together.

Lucy: Yeah sorry... just been stressed lately.

Tim: Everything ok?

Lucy: Before we left Tamara was telling about some stuff going on with everyone where she lives. Girl drama. And now I'm not there if she needs a break or even someone to talk to.

Tim: She'll be fine. If anything happens I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up waltzing into the station to ask Grey.

Lucy: Ha yeah. Oh hey I'm getting a call.

She answers her phone.

L: Hello?

Lucy's mom: Hello Lucy! How are you?

L: Mom I can't talk right now-

LM: Why what's happening?

L: I'm at an undercover- how'd you even call me? Not the point. I can't call don't call me back.

LM: That job again? Keeping you from your own parents while your put in danger every day? I still think you should've been a-

L: Don't- I'm ending the call and don't call me again.

As she ends the calls she sits there taking slightly shaky breaths.

T: She being hard about being a cop?

She simply nods as her eyes start to tear up.

L: They just can't accept the fact I'm a cop.

T: Hey don't cry.... It's ok.

He pulls her into a hug one hand holding her head to his chest.

T: You're an amazing cop. I would know, I trained you.

L: Thank you...

T: Now get yourself together. If you're unfocused you'll end up dead.

He pulls away, still holding her at the arms for a moment as they look at each other, before letting go.
