Sirens, fire, water, firefighters, officers, civilians and smoke. By the time LAFD and LAPD get there the buildings mostly collapsed, either due to being burnt away, the bottom floors being burnt away, or both. 76 residents were outside watching the fire. 148 people were in the fire. 103 adults and 45 children. 2 officers.
The firefighters rush inside as some put out the fire; most of it is already out; burnt debris everywhere. Hours later there's 52 bodies. 33 adults, 19 children. 85 survivors, most suffering burns, broken limbs, but still alive. 11 people unaccounted for, 2 officers still not found.
At this point everyone's here. Angela, Nyla, John, Celina, Aaron, Grey, Ellie. Even Wesley, James (nylas husband not the other one), Tamara, Alyssa and Genny (Tim's sister) have all showed up. Bailey inside with LAFD doing her job. They're all standing together looking at the remains of the building desperately hoping for good news.
Bailey walks up to them.
Bailey: We've found 5 more people, all somehow alive. Still got 6 people and Tim and Lucy buried somewhere in there though.
Grey: Any sign of anyone?
Bailey: We found what looks like a piece of a radio. From what you showed us on their body cams it's more likely they got caved in or crushed rather than burned so I guess that's the better option...
Nyla: Are you sure we can't do something?
Angela: I'd be happy to throw on some gear.
Bailey: It's really unstable. 1 wrong move and we risk collapsing it more.
Tamara: I just hope everyone's ok.
Alyssa: Yeah.
3 more hours go by, all the 11 people have been found; now it just Tim and Lucy left under the rubble.
Celina: They'll be ok....
Aaron: I hope so.
Nyla: You guys really think it's because of a dirty cop?
Angela: Those two thought so. Makes sense. It seems planned, everyone says they didn't see anyone enter or leave after Tim and Lucy went in.
Report says all the doors got locked.
Wesley: Loads of people have made it out of this and most of the fatalities have been from burns.
James: Still being crushed and unable to get help for this long it's....
Ellie: We just have to hope.
Grey: It's been 1 hour since they pulled out the last person. They were on one of the highest floors they can't be that far under all this...
John: And all they were here for was a smell.
Over where Bailey and the other fire fighters are they are all searching for the two cops.
Bailey: We gotta find them quick...
