The Rookie Season 7 Part 1

Hang on.

As her last hand slips one of the firefighters grabs her hand. They both pull her up more and hold her tight as they are pulled back up. They sit Lucy down against the wall facing away from the edge, who is shaking and breathing heavily.

Lucy: Thank you- oh my god I think I just saw my life flash before my eyes.

FF: You did good Officer. Here drink some.

He hands her a bottle of water.

Lucy: Thanks.

Down on the ground Tim lets out a shaky sigh. Alyssa's standing next to him, everyone is visibly relieved.

Tim: She's ok- holy shit...

Angela: Oh my god...

Alyssa: Can we go up to her.

Angela: Yeah come on.

The three of them head up to the roof. When Tim sees Lucy sitting there he immediately goes over to her and hugs her tightly. She hugs him back even tighter.

Tim: Seriously stop nearly dying.

Lucy: The guy somehow knows Holly and hates her enough to nearly kill me.

Alyssa: He nearly killed you because of mom?

Lucy: Just because he hates her.

Alyssa: I'm glad you're ok.

Angela: Same.

Lucy: Let's get back to the station.

Tim: Grey got back so I could come. And I'm glad I did.

Still shaking she stands up holding Tim's hand like a life support.

Tim: Try not to break my hand.

Lucy: We are on top of a hospital you'll be fine.

They all go down and as she steps outside everyone there starts clapping. Unfortunately for her the news reporters start pushing through the crowd.

Lucy: News choppers caught the whole thing on camera. Great.

Tim: Let's just get to the car quickly.

The four of them make their way to the car and quickly drive out and back to the station avoiding the news reporters.

As Lucy steps into the station she's met with another round of applause. Grey goes over to her

Grey: Officer Chen you never fail to give us our daily dose of fear.

Lucy: Just a perk of being me.

Grey: You ok?

Lucy: Shaky but fine.

Alyssa: Still doesn't beat the time my mom dived out a plane without a parachute.

Lucy: Hannah?

Alyssa: Yep.

Tim: And maybe don't try to one up that one please.

Lucy: No promises.

Grey: The Chen family is crazy.

Lucy: Thanks.

Tim: Luce do you wanna go home?

Lucy: I can stay if you need. Robbery is obviously taking a while.

Grey: If you're sure you're ok then you can go patrol with Tim.

Lucy: Ok. Alyssa you want us to drop you home quickly?

Alyssa: Or I could bribe your boyfriend here to let me go on a ride along with you two.

Lucy: You just watched me nearly fall of an insanely high building and want to come on a ride along?

Alyssa: Yep.

Tim: I don't take bribes anyway.

Alyssa: I'll tell you about the time Lucy snuck out the house and got caught because she stopped to pet a cat.

Lucy: I'm going to murder Holly for telling you.

Tim: I take bribes now.

Lucy: Hate you both.

Tim: I'll approve it.

Lucy: You're sleeping on the couch tonight.

Tim: You're making dinner tonight.

Lucy: Nope.

Tim: Yep.

Lucy: Nope.

Tim: Yep.

Lucy: Nope.

Alyssa: How about we go.

Lucy: Yeah. Sergeant Bradford you should really know better than to argue with an officer.

Tim: Yeah you're right boot.

Lucy: Fine I'll make dinner. Don't call me boot.

The three of them go over to the car. Tim in the drivers seat, Lucy on the passenger seat, and Alyssa in the back. Tim starts up the shop and they head out.

Tim: Luce you sure you're ok? You're still looking a little shaky.

Lucy: Yeah just might be avoiding rooftops for a while.

She glances in the mirror and sees Alyssa texting someone.

Lucy: Who are you texting?

Alyssa: No one.

Lucy: Uh uh spill.

Alyssa: You won't tell my parents?

Lucy: Girl they are FBI agents. But no I won't.

Alyssa: There's this boy I've been seeing for a while.

Lucy: Ooh is he cute?

Alyssa: Yeah.

Lucy: Is he nice?

Alyssa: Yeah.

Lucy: What's his name?

Alyssa: Caleb.

Lucy: Right.

Tim: Keep talking about boys and I'll call you boot.

Lucy: Hate you.

Tim: Just shut up both of you.

Alyssa: You guys fight like an old married couple.
