After a few days Lucy gets let out the hospital on crutches wearing a boot on her leg.
T: How you feeling boot?
L: I told you to stop calling me that.
She says playfully.
T: Oh but since you have a boot now, I'm calling you boot.
L: Why do I even put up with you...
T: I'll drop you at home then head to the station ok?
L: Can I come with you? I mean I know I should be resting but it's been a while since I was able to properly talk with everyone.
T: Everyone would be out on patrol.
L: Just sign me off as a ride along.
T: I don't think that's safe- I mean with normal ride alongs if there's trouble at least they can run. You can't. Plus you were just feeling me how sick you're feeling.
L: Fine. I'll stay at home. Kojo will be happy to spend the day with his favourite person.
T: Mm no I'm his favourite.
L: Whatever you think.
T: Ok boot.
L: Oh shush-
They get to his place and he helps Lucy inside.
T: You sure you'll be alright? You don't want me to stay home?
L: And have a whole day of you calling me boot? I'm fine. It's not like anyone's stalking me any more.
T: Alright boot. Cya later.
L: I'd kill you if I hadn't sworn to protect.
T: Aw, love you too boot.
She rolls her eyes and gives him a kiss.
L: I guess I love you as well. If you keep calling me boot that might change.
T: Bye boot.
He smiles at her and leaves.
