The Rookie Season 7 Part 1

Rooftop

She gets to the station with Alyssa

Lucy: Ok right seriously though don't be stupid, listen to the officers.

Alyssa: Yeah.

Lucy and Alyssa walk into the office.

Lucy: You seriously are drowning in files.

Tim: Ok uh Alyssa stay here Luce you're going with Angela to the hospital.

Lucy: Atleast I'm not almost dead this time.

Tim: Be careful.

Lucy: Yeah. Alyssa I know what you're thinking and if you give Tim chocolate covered ants I'll kill you.

Alyssa: Ok.

Tim: What?

A&L: Nothing.

Lucy goes out to Angela.

Lucy: Hey.

Angela: We gotta move.

Lucy: Yeah.

They get in the car and quickly speed down the roads to the hospital. They get out to fire trucks, and police cars parked outside.

Officer: The bomber is on the roof. You're going to go up there FD will harness you in just in case but the bomber is threatening to explode the whole hospital.

Lucy: Assuming we can't evacuate all the patients

Officer: All low risk patients have been taken to a different hospital, there's loads in there that can't be moved and the doctors are all still inside as well.

Lucy: Do we have any background on this person? Anything we can use as leverage? Reason he's trying to bomb this place.

Officer: Nothing at all. All we know is this guys has a history of sending in fake threats. This is first real one.

Lucy: Where's bomb squad?

Officer: At the robbery.

Lucy: This is crazy. Ok I'm going up there.

Angela: I'll help dig dirt on this guy.

Lucy goes up to the roof entrance and gets harnessed in. She steps out onto the roof.

Lucy: Hey.

Bomber: I told them not to send anyone up here-

Lucy: Sucks they sent up a stubborn officer. Just talk to me. What's your name, what why are you doing this Hm?

Bomber: You first.

Lucy: I'm Officer Chen.

Bomber: Marty.

Lucy walks closer to the guy.

Marty: Just lost my sister in a car accident.

Lucy: I'm so sorry.

Marty: I don't want to kill everyone here. But I have to. The doctors failed my sister.

Lucy: Loads of people pass away every day. Sometimes the doctors can't do anything about it.  But think about how many people here were saved by them, are being helped by them. Those doctors did everything they could for your sister.

Marty; You have siblings?

Lucy goes and sits next to the guy.

Lucy: Older sister. Holly.

Marty: You're related to Holly Chen? That bitch got me arrested-

Before Lucy can back away the guy grab her and unclips her from the harness. He pushes her towards the edge.

Lucy: I didn't even know she was alive till a few days ago-

Marty: I don't care she deserves to suffer.

Lucy pushes the guy off her, grabbing the bomb remote and throwing it over the edge.

Lucy: Probably shouldn't have thrown that.

She tackles the guy to the ground but he swiftly pushes her off. She falls against the short wall on the edge of the roof, hitting her back. The guy grabs her and turns her around so she's facing out, then shoves her head over the edge so the top half of her is leaning over the wall. Everyone below is looking up at her. A few firefighters step out from the window roof entrance.

Marty: Take another step and I push her. Now you tell me where your sister is.

Lucy: I don't know-

Marty: Liar.

Lucy: She and Hannah are agents they can't exactly tell me-

Marty: Liar.

Lucy: I swear I don't know.

He pushes her further.

Marty: Tell me.

There a small noise, a bird landing. Marty looks back to see what it is and Lucy takes the opportunity to push him away. As she does a few firefighters run out to grab him. But not before he pushes her over the edge.
