Sending the cure to the NightWings. Showing them kindness after all they had done. Potentially saving their lives. What better way to stop the NightWings from hating the RainWings?

But, of course, right now they were still loathing Glory with a burning passion. So she had to be accompanied by him, Deathbringer, and around fifteen invisible bodyguards, just in case, along with Starchaser, so that the NightWings might show a bit of restraint. Deathbringer had proposed bringing along at least thirty, because even then they'd be outnumbered, but Glory had rolled her eyes and denied bringing along a small squad just because she was visiting the NightWings. So stubborn.

He glanced sideways at her with a smirk. She was studying the small crate of the cure. It weighed around as much as a tiny boulder, and was filled to the brim with leaves. The healers had collected it yesterday.

"I think that'll be enough," Glory stated, putting the lid on the crate. "Come on, everyone, let's go." She gave him a nervous smile that was just a tad bit smug and flicked her tail. He nodded, and they twined their tails together for a moment before they started to make their way towards the NightWing village. The whole invisible bodyguard team made quite a bit of noise, but not enough to attract attention towards them.

Deathbringer heard a NightWing patrol up ahead. "We're at the border," he commented as though just to Glory. He wanted the invisible guards to be unnoticed for as long as possible.

"Let's go approach them," Starchaser said, bracing as though she were about to fight them.

Deathbringer kept his senses alert as they landed and walked slowly, non-threateningly towards the patrol of three NightWings. Oh, no. I hope they don't attack us before we get a chance to talk! As Glory and Deathbringer were about to step over the border, one of the NightWings noticed and shouted, "Halt! What are you doing here?"

Glory, who had her wings down in a cool, calm way, replied earnestly, "We have the cure for the sickness that plagues your tribe. Please, allow us to bring this to the NightWing village." She held out the crate.

The NightWing guard stood straighter, his eyes gleaming with interest. He turned around and the three NightWings murmured to each other for a while before he finally replied, "Fine. We'll take you to the village."

The NightWings walked forward, one on either side of them, one in front, and led them across the border. Deathbringer hadn't seen this part of the rainforest in many weeks. It was considered NightWing territory, so he wasn't allowed to come here most of the time since he sided with Glory. I can't believe those idiots believed what Fierceteeth said about Glory.

Finally, they reach the village. The paths in between the huts are deserted. Deathbringer could only spot one solitary dragon tending to some fruit trees. A small healer's hut had been set up near the centre of the village, and it was full of patients. The NightWing patrol guided them there.

A lot of the NightWings inside the healer's hut gasped and hissed as Glory came in, and Deathbringer almost hissed back, before he remembered that they were supposed to be friendly and peaceful. So, with quite excellent self-control, he simply stared straight ahead.

"NightWings," Glory began calmy, gazing down at the NightWings as though they were still her precious subjects. The NightWings seemed taken aback by her friendliness. Glory held out the crate. "This is the cure to your sickness. I requested that the healers gather some for you. If you are sick, you need to eat three leaves every day until you are cured."

She set down the crate and pushed it towards the closest NightWing healer. She looked at Glory doubtfully, but then nodded with a hint of respect and opened the lid. Another healer came over, looking curious. They began to share it among the patients, and Glory and Deathbringer were informed that they were allowed to stay for a while.
