The wedding was going to be held near the young Moon Globe tree in the rainforest. The DoD had arrived a day earlier, as well as Kinkajou and Fatespeaker. They decided to include some RainWing and NightWing wedding traditions, and the whole place was decorated with bright rainforest flowers, like orchids and morning glories. Glory flowers. Glory. It makes sense.

"Deathbringer!" Glory called. He bounded over to her and her friends. "Have to checked to see if there's any moon globes yet?"

"Yep," he said.

"It's going to be so annoying to have to call you King Deathbringer," Tsunami grumbled, lashing her tail. She shot an annoyed look at the RainWing queen. "Great job, Glory." They all laughed. Deathbringer couldn't quite believe that he was going to be the King of the RainWing and NightWings. An assassin turned bodyguard turned king. Amazing.

But then he was distracted by Glory's colors. They weren't her usual combination of orange and green. Rather, she was a light, pale pink color with hints of magenta. Her wings were golden yellow and her ruff and ears were also yellow. She looked beautiful. Soon, the wedding would begin, so she was being decorated by Sunny, Jambu, and a few RainWings. Glory was fitted with an elegant wooden crown carved with flowers — symbolic of her royal status. Deathbringer had said he didn't want to be adorned with flowers or anything. That wasn't his style. I'm handsome enough without all the extra, he thought.

Soon, the wedding started. Deathbringer was already at the front, his heart thumping against his chest. He was about to burst with happiness as he watched Glory stride down the aisle slowly, as if she was in a dream. Deathbringer himself was in a sort of daze, too. He drowned out the excited squeals of Sunny and the occassional snort from Tsunami and the chatter among the other guests. All he could focus on was Glory, his Glory, who looked so stunning with her bright scales and crown.

It was all a swirl of happiness. At the end of the day, all he could remember was Glory's beaming face and them leaning in to kiss ...
