Summary (Part 2)

Chapter 74:

The Mini project result, Nayeon voted Jeongyeon as a form of punishment for Chaeyoung. The summer camp proved that she failed. She had come to term that nothing she could do to make Chaeyoung stay. Nayeon are torn between wanting to leave the place and runs to some far away country and start anew or her responsibility to assist Jeongyeon with the successor formality. She choose the former. Nayeon waited at the airport when her phone rung for the nth time. It was Jeongyeon. The woman chased after her to the airport and managed to stop her before she board the gate. After a heated argument, or more to Jeongyeon throwing tantrum in the airport which reminds Naeyon so much of Chaeyoung, and she had to make a mental note that they are a step sister after all. The commotion gained people's attention and embarrassed Nayeon enough that she agreed to talk somewhere else.

They sits on a beach. Nayeon stares defeatedly at the night ocean, after being dragged, well kidnapped by a certain woman that caused her to miss her flight just to end up freezing at the beach. Jeongyeon appears behind her holding a cup of coffee and put a jacket on Nayeons shoulder. They talk and again ends with arguments. Nayeon does not understand all the excuses Jeongyeon makes to make her stay in Korea even up to threatening her with the lamest things. They come into an agreement that Nayeon have to stay until the end of the successor formality, regardless of its result and Jeongyeon can not interfere her decision with her affairs any longer.

Chapter 75:

Jeongyeon invited Mina out for dinner, and Mina made sure to inform Chaeyoung that it was just a dinner. She also had some things she needed to clarify with Jeongyeon. Unhappy with the idea of Mina going alone, Chaeyoung insisted on driving her to the restaurant and wait outside until she was done so they could go home together. Mina agreed.

At the restaurant, Jeongyeon and Mina engaged in conversation, particularly addressing Jeongyeon's confession from months ago. Mina, maintaining her politeness and subtlety, gently rejected Jeongyeon's feelings. Instead of feeling heartbroken or dejected, Jeongyeon experienced a sense of relief.

After dinner, Chaeyoung takes Mina to the arcade, remembering the list of Mina's likes that she had carefully noted before their engagement. They moved from one game to another. Chaeyoung watches Mina's face light up as she hits the high score on a shooting game, then guides her to the air hockey table for a friendly match. Later, Chaeyoung patiently teaches Mina to play billiards, showing her the right angle and stance as Mina laughs at her own clumsy attempts. They end the night by sharing a large cotton candy.

Chapter 76:

Nayeon threw herself into overseeing the opening ceremony for her new building branch, set to launch in three months. Until now, her attention had been divided by her lingering obsession with Chaeyoung and her entanglement in the successor formality. But now, she saw this project as an opportunity and a way to channel all of her energy and finally let go of any remaining feelings she held. She poured herself into every detail of the launch, using it as both a distraction and a fresh start.

Instead of basking in a well-deserved vacation in Singapore, she found herself still working, thanks to Jeongyeon's interference. Nayeon was perplexed by Jeongyeon's unpredictable behavior. The woman seemed to visit her office almost daily, bickering about trivial matters and dragging her out to various restaurants she discovered online.

Jeongyeon had become the source of Nayeon's daily annoyance, like a clingy puppy that refused to leave her side. This routine continued for days, and to Nayeon's surprise, she found herself growing frustrated whenever Jeongyeon was late with their lunch, eagerly awaiting their time together to eat.

Chapter 77:

Jeongyeon managed to 'trick' Nayeon into taking a day off to spend some time together. Nayeon, although annoyed by the deceit, gave in, she'd already informed her secretary to clear her schedule for the day anyway. But she was expecting something glamorous or relaxing, not the surprise Jeongyeon had lined up which was a day of volunteering at an animal shelter.
