Chapter 74:

The long and grueling legal battle finally came to a close and the court ruling was in Mina's favor. Velore was awarded substantial damages and Mina's reputation was fixed. Mina requested a private meeting with Yuta. She offered him a chance to resolve things quietly. He could make a public apology to her and Chaeyoung and the matter would be put to rest. However, Yuta refused. He was too prideful to admit his wrongdoings.

Yuta faced financial penalties, including fines and compensation for damages caused by his actions. These fines amount to millions due to the harm it caused to all parties involved.
His brand lost credibility and public opinion turned against him. His career which had once seemed promising, crumbled.

Mina could finally breathe. She leaned back in her chair and sighed as the chaos of the past months began to settle. The damages awarded to Velore and GroundUp would go a long way in restoring the company's financial stability but it was more than that. The ruling proved Chaeyoung's innocence more than anything.

"Thank you, Tzuyu," Mina said softly as she turned to the legal advisor who had constantly support her throughout the entire ordeal. "I honestly don't know what I would have done
without you."

Tzuyu smiled warmly, "You don't need to thank me, Mina. You were the one who held everything together through this whole mess. I just made sure you had the best legal strategy."

Mina exhaled deeply. It had been an exhausting journey. "We've been fighting this for years. I can't believe it's over,"

"And now, with this behind you, you can start to focus on the future."

"Velore still needs me. But at least now I can do it without this constant fear hanging over me."

"You'll do great," Tzuyu reassured her. "Velore is in good hands."

As Tzuyu packed up her things, Mina stood and looked out the window, her thoughts turning toward Chaeyoung. The past months had strained their relationship. She missed her, missed their easy conversations and how Chaeyoung could always make her laugh even in tough times. Mina's phone buzzed on her desk, snapping her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the screen. Her heart fluttered when she saw the name—Beloved Wife.

Mina answered the call with a wide grin knowing that soon, she'd finally be able to reconnect with the person who had become her everything. The legal battle may have been over but the most important part of her life was her relationship with Chaeyoung. They could finally have a fresh start, free from any shackles.

Chapter 75:

Another month passed.

No message. No call.

Chaeyoung decorated her apartment with soft twinkling lights and a small perfectly adorned Christmas tree in the corner. The gentle glow of the ornaments casting a cozy warmth over the space. The scent of freshly baked cookies filled the air. She had invited Nayeon, Jeongyeon, and the Hirai family over. Music played softly in the background. It was a mix of classic Christmas songs and a few upbeat tunes.

As the evening drew on, the guests enjoyed a homemade feast with roasted meats and colorful side dishes. Everyone gathered around the table and toasted with glasses of wine and hot cocoa. They exchanged gifts and shared touching words, especially Momo to her current wife—Dahyun. Laughter filled the apartment as they chatted and caught up.

Though Chaeyoung smiled and laughed with her friends, her sadness lingered and her thoughts drifted to Mina. The time apart had been longer than they'd both planned and as much as she had tried to focus on the joy around her, she couldn't ignore the ache bloomed in her chest. The celebration soon wrapped up and one by one they left. Their laughter fading into the night. Chaeyoung closed the door behind them.
