angel's pov:
after paying the bill, i head back to the table and notice kimi's empty seat. i didn't think anything of it, presuming he had just gone to the toilet.
"has kimi gone to the toilet?" i ask, whilst sitting down.
"i-i don't know." ollie replies.
"he left." paul says.
"what? why? what happened?" i ask immediately, as ollie shakes his head.
did something happen between kimi and ollie whilst i was gone? i was barely gone for five minutes, surely something couldn't have happened then?
"okay, well... let's go back to the hotel, i've paid." i say.
"yeah." ollie says.
all three of us get up and leave the restaurant, and as we pass the door we see george and his girlfriend carmen about to enter.
"what's happened with kimi?" george says after i say hello to the both of them.
"what do you mean?" i ask.
"he's just walked off that way. he didn't look too happy." carmen says, pointing in the direction opposite to the hotel.
"i have no clue, but thanks." i say, as we all say goodbye.
"are we going to find kimi?" paul asks, whilst ollie was still oddly quiet.
"er no. we are going back to the hotel." i say, as we head back to the hotel.
ollie slides his hand into mine, and i give him a worried look without getting anything in response. he had gone pale, so maybe only he felt sick. but there was a better chance of getting him to talk alone, even if paul was there earlier.
"you go to our room, and i'll take paul to his. i'll be there is a few minutes okay?" i say to ollie, who nods, kisses my forehead before heading away.
"paul what happened?" i ask, once ollie was out of earshot.
"well, he just walked out to be honest." paul says.
"did he say anything?" i ask.
"which one of them?"
"either."
"yeah, but i don't see how that would have made him do well. that"
"what did he say?" i ask.
"i can't say."
"okay... ill try and talk to ollie." i say, before leaving paul in his hotel room.
i head over to mine and ollie's hotel room, and ollie was sat on the end of the bed, his head in hands.
"hey." i say softly, wrapping my arm around him.
"im so sorry." he whispers, leaning into me.
"why?"
"because i said something and then he left. i don't want to loose my best friend again." he says.
"you won't loose him, im sure it was just a misunderstanding, right?" i ask.
"no, he couldn't possibly have taken this the wrong way."
"why won't you just tell me what he said." i ask.
"no, i cant." he says, looking up at me.
"okay." i say, gently stroking his hair.
what on earth could i do? my brother was god knows where, my boyfriend has said something to make him leave, i have no idea what he said. paul won't say, ollie won't say, what if it's really bad? the only person left who could tell me is kimi, and well i don't know where he is.
"okay." i repeat.
"i'm going to go find him." i say, although doubting i would be able to.
"it's cold outside, it's almost 11pm." ollie says, sitting up.
"i'll take a hoodie." i say, standing up and grabbing one of ollie's hoodies and swrapping my heels for a pair of trainers.
"i won't be long." i say, kissing ollie on the top of his head before leaving the hotel room.
i wasn't even out of the hotel before my phone starts ringing, and thankfully it was kimi.
(italian)
(kimi's replies in bold)
"hey"
"where are you kimi? i have absolutely no clue what's going on, except that ollie said something? no-one is telling me what he said, i don't know where you are! and i don't know what to do!"
"i'm sorry... i overreacted."
"okay... where are you?"
"across the street from the place we ate at."
"i'm coming now."
"what? no lina it's late."
"i've already left."
"just, don't get angry please."
"what's happened?"
"i see you."the phone call ends, and i spot kimi about to cross the street. once he reaches me i pull him into a hug, thankful he was okay.
"you need to tell me what is going on." i say once we pull away.
"can we sit?" he asks, i nod and we walk over to a nearby bench
"so?" i ask.
"he said something, and... i just... it was something nick said, yet in completely different meanings." he explains.
"i'm not getting it." i say, even more confused.
"nick was... controlling, right? he took over your life."
"yeah, he did. but ollie would never do that, you know that."
"when he said it, it wasn't him saying it. well it was, but i saw him as nick. and i don't know i was just mad. so i left, and now i just feel so fucking stupid."
"you aren't stupid."
"you don't think? i've started this crazy drama over nothing."
"well, i think ive had my fair share of drama and it's most definitely time for yours." i joke.
"well, that i agree with. do you want to go back then?"
"no... do you mind if we stay here for a bit?" i ask, looking across at him.
"of course." he replies, smiling down at me before putting his arm across my shoulder, as we sit in silence.
"can i... ask you something?" i ask a while later.
"you ask me anything you want." he replies.
"why does everything feel so shit? i thought i was getting better with everything but now. i guess it isn't."
