jules' pov:

"lance! have you seen angel?" i say, spotting the driver walking away from his driver room.

"no sorry man, try her driver room? but i'll tell her your looking for her if i see her." he says, and i go to her room.

"angel!" i say, knocking on the door for the first time but getting no answer.

"are you in there?" i ask again, knocking once more before noticing the door wasn't locked. i open the door and see she wasn't in there.

i know angel, and i know that she's worried about the rain. but to help her i need to find her first. i head to the garage, after being called to check something on the car when i notice her, stood at the end of the pit lane under an umbrella staring at the track.

"i'll just be a minute." i say to the mechanics, before grabbing an umbrella and heading out.

"angel, why are you out here? we need you in the garage." i say, walking up to her but giving her space, as she turns around, her face stained with tears.

"i'm not going out." she says, tears still falling down her face.

"you don't get a choice, it's your job angel." i say, only realising how harsh that sounded as she walks past me back to the garage.

"wait." i say, being unheard to the sounds of the pit lane.

shit, how on earth am i going to get my driver out onto the track without loosing the friendship?

i could only think of one person who could talk her into it. ollie.

ollie's pov:

"ollie, i need your help." jules says, walking over with a worried look on his face which immediately appears on my face as well. i knew it would be about angel, and i knew it would be about the rain.

"what's wrong with her?" i ask, running my hand through my hair.

"she doesn't want to do the race." he says, and i could completely understand why she was thinking that.

"where is she?"

"her room." jules says, and i head straight to her room.

"ang.." i say softly, knocking on the door.

"g-go away jules." she replies, and i could tell she was crying from the hoarseness of her voice.

"it's me."

"ollie?"

"can you let me in love?" i say, as the door opens.

her hands were shaking, her face was tear stained and i immediately pull her into my arms, running my hand through her hair and stroking her back to calm her down.

"i-i can't do it ol." she says, her voice shaking.

"i know it's going to be hard, but if you don't do it today, it's just going to be harder next time. and if you feel you can't do it, that being in the car out there is dangerous for you, you can always retire the car. everyone knows this is going to be hard for you, but they don't know just how hard this is for you. because no-one has done what your doing. ever. and no matter what happens in that race, once it's over, you will always have me, and your brother, and your family. that's the most important thing right?"

"you think i should do it?"

"i think you should go out there, and prove to people that you are stronger than what happened last year. because i already know it. and if you go out there, and start that race, it doesn't matter where you finish or when, it will make the noise a little bit quieter."

"i-i'll do it." she hesitantly.

"thank you, no matter what happens in the race. i will be here for you afterwards."

"promise?"

"i promise." i reply, pulling her into a closer hug and kissing the top of her head before pulling away slightly.

"don't leave me." she says.

"im never leaving you baby, ive said this." i say, kissing her head again.

angel's pov:

ollie stayed with me until he had to go back to haas, and even then he was reluctant to go. but i didn't want him to be in trouble.

once he had left, i wait a few more minutes until i head down to the garage. and as soon as i was down, jules comes over.

"angel, listen. i sounded harsh earlier, i didnt intend too. i apologise." he says.

"it's alright jules, im sorry."  i say, giving him a reassuring smile.

"so, your racing?" he asks.

"yeah, i am. i want to win, im going to try anyway." i say confidently.

"that's great, i know you can. but for now, we need to take the car into the grid." he says.

10 minutes later, the car was lined up on the grid, a canopy being put up over it whilst i was handing an umbrella and head to the pit lane for a little walk to clear my head.

as i pass the ferrari garage, i hear someone call my name. once i turn, i see alexandra smiling at me, walking over with an umbrella in hand.

(french)

"angel, i was hoping to see you, and wish you good luck." she says.

"thank you alex, you look gorgeous."

"thank you." she says. we talk for a little longer, catching up with each other before charles comes over, and we walk towards the front of the grid for the national anthem.
