the next day

as everyday, i wake up to my alarm, groaning at the fact i would have to abandon the warm safe place of whichever bed i was sleeping in.

i open the blinds to check the weather, and thankfully the sky was clear. not a single cloud in sight. but the race wasn't for another 6 hours, so that could change easily.

then i head to shower, before starting on my everyday skincare and makeup routine. once again, i do my hair half up and and half down before changing into my outfit. this outfit was easily my favourite of the race weekend.

once i was ready, and my room was tidy, i head over to kimi's room as we were travelling together. i knock on the door, and it was no surprise that kimi was just about to leave already.

(italian)

"i didn't expect you to be ready yet." he says as we walk down to the hotel lobby.

"i'm getting better at waking up early, i go to sleep earlier though." i reply.

"yeah, have you spoken to ollie recently?" he asks out of the blue.

"what? no of course i haven't. like i said, im moving on from him. i'm focusing on racing now. but why?"

"i wasn't going to say anything, but uhm after giving him the key. he kind of looked like he was about to cry?"

"good! he deserves to cry after all the tears he gave me." i say confidently, although i immediately regretted it.

"that was harsh, i don't really mean that." i say.

"i don't know, your both sensible. you should talk to each other." he says, shrugging his shoulders.

"i'm sorry kimi. i know you lost one of your best friends. but i don't see us ever getting along, how could i? you know how much i loved him and then he couldn't trust me. it hurt."

"i know, i shouldn't have said anything. i'm sorry." he says, and i don't reply.

the truth is, i've been thinking about him a lot recently. yes i've been saying i'm moving on, but it's all a complete lie. i don't want to seem like the emotional wreck again.

20 minutes later, we get to the track and whilst driving to an area that we could safely get out of the taxi, i was shocked about how many fans there were.

"that's a big crowd of people." i say, smiling across at my brother.

"big is an understatement." he replies as we get out of the car.

i spend a while taking photos with the fans and giving out autographs whilst having little conversations with everyone.

"angelina is it true you posted the video of lance falling?" someone shouts.

"ahaha, yes it was me! don't tell him, he's on the hunt for them!" i reply.

"i love your outfits this weekend!"

"aw thank you."

"will we see you on the podium?"

"i hope so, but we will have to wait and see."

"she shouldn't be racing, she's a girl for crying out loud! and she dresses like a whore!"

"excuse me?!" someone says. i turn to see kimi, stepping to beside me.

"don't be so fucking rude, she's accomplished more then you ever will." kimi says, before placing his arm across my shoulders and guiding me away to the paddock.

(italian)

"what an idiot." he mutters.

"thanks." i reply, smiling a little across at my brother.

"you get that a lot?"

"yeah, i try to ignore it though."

"you don't dress like a whore." kimi adds.

"thank you. i dress better than you, that's for sure." i say, laughing a little.

"no! oh there's paul let's ask him." he says, before shouting paul over.

(english)

"hey guys." he says, walking over with a smile on his face.

"who dresses better me and her?" kimi asks, without even greeting paul.

"say hello first, don't be rude." i joke, before greeting paul.

"hello angel, and come on mate, is this even a needed question? all you wear is a team shirt!" paul says as kimi scoffs.

"seriously?"

"told you so." we say at the same time.

"come on mate, maybe get her to dress you some time." paul says, laughing.

we talk for a little longer before splitting off to our seperate garages. but whilst on the way to aston martin, i hear a young girl about 7 years old calling my name and of course i can't ignore her.

"angelina!" she says, and i turn around to face her.

"hello! what's your name?" i ask, smiling at her.

"charlotte."

"it's lovely to meet you charlotte." i say.

"i want to be like you! i want to race like you! and wear pretty clothes." she says, and i would be lying if i didn't say my heart melted.

"awh, well i have full faith that you will be a driver just like me, and wearing pretty clothes makes everything better. i love your dress."

"thanks you! i really like your bracelet."

"you like my bracelet? this one?" i ask and she nods. i start to take it off my wrist.

"here, you can have it." i say, before closing the claps around her wrist.

"really?!" she says excitedly.

"yeah, of course."

"can i give you a hug?" she asks.

"of course sweetheart." i say, before kneeling down and giving her a gentle hug.

i talk to her for a little longer before saying goodbye and finally heading into aston martin. fan interactions like that are the cutest thing in the world.

what i didn't know, is that other than being filmed by many camera, i was also being watched.
