24. I never stopped loving you

*Trigger warning SH, mention of blood. Im going to apologise for this now.*

The moment between the two women was suddenly broken by the sound of shouting. "Mia! Get up here now!" Reece shouted, clear sense of panic in his voice. "Mia now!" He shouted again but louder this time. Both Mia and Marjorie ran upstairs. Mia ran straight into the bathroom, the room Reece stood outside of and over to Charlotte. After seeing the tears streaming down her face, she quickly took her into her arms, not even noticing the problem. "Mia careful with... her arm. " he tried to tell her, but it was too late. "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry," Charlotte sobbed to Mia. Marjorie noticed the blood in the sink. She looked at Reece, and he nodded slowly. "Charlotte, you need to come here a minute," Marjorie whispered.

Mia turned to look at Marjorie before noticing the sink. "Baby, where?" Mia asked softly while slowly letting Charlotte go, Charlotte kept her head down, holding out her arm. "Okay sweet its okay," Mia whispered, taking the first aid kit from Reece. "Reece, Marj, just give us a minute," Mia said. They both stepped back,shutting the door, trying not to make Charlotte feel embarrassed. Mia swiftly cleaned Charlottes' arm before applying a bandage while listening to the young girls' sobs. "Char, I can't sit and watch you like this," Mia whispered before wiping Charlottes cheeks. "Mia, why can't anyone love me. What's wrong with me? Even you dont love me, and you said forever!" she stuttered, Mia froze slightly before pulling Charlotte against her chest and kissing her. "Baby, i never stopped loving you, not really. I love every part of you, " Mia whispered softly, but Charlotte shook her head.

"I feel guilty now, marj and Reece are going to be so mad at me and think they arent helping but they are and i love them both" Charlotte whispered as more tears rolled down her cheek and her breathing got heavier. Mia swiftly took off her sweatshirt, knowing there would most likely be blood on it before picking Charlotte up, her hiding her head in the crook of her next. "Baby, you are okay, no one is mad at you, and we all love you," mia whispered while carrying Charlotte downstairs. "Oh, Char, my love," Marjorie whispered as Mia walked in with her. She sits her on the couch next to Marjorie, wrapping her in the blanket. She kissed the top of her head. "Im just going to find Reecey, stay with Marjorie," Mia said quietly before walking out to find Reece. "Thank you," she muttered to him before hugging him. Reece hugged her back gently. "She's okay now just beating herself up over it," Mia mumbled before sighing slightly. "You can both stay here as long as you need because she clearly needs Marjories support as much as yours" Reece says softly, Mia nods "I dont know what to do with her, my heart hurts for her" Mia says softly. Reece rubs Mias back.

Reece sat down with Mia in the kitchen, and they both discussed a few thing. "So if sh-" Reece started "-mia come here!" Marjorie shouted, interrupting Reece, Mia got up and ran to Marjorie. "You okay, sweetheart," Mia quickly says before noticing she's asleep. She looks confused at Marjorie. "Can you grab me a drink, please?" Marjorie asks quietly, mia rolls her eyes. "I thought it was urgent!" She says before walking out. "Your girlfriend Reece! She called me to get her a fucking drink" she rants to Reece. "She called you because she knows i would say no" he chuckled as Mia left the room. "You are lucky you are protecting Charlotte because you are on thin ice" Mia told her as Marjorie just smiled, sipping her drink. "Just remember who is looking after your girlfriend" Marjorie snapped, not actually meaning to go off at her like that but it was just their nature to be mean to eachother. Mia knew she had to hold herself back for Charlotte but for some reason it really got to Mia.

Mia took three deep breaths. "Im just going to sit in my car a minute" Mia muttered as Reece walked into the room. "Mia what happ-" he started as she barged past him. "I'm just going to sit in my car" she repeated. Reece turnt to look at Marjorie, her looking guilty. "It was a joke but i took it to far. It was fun over the drink she got me and then i took it to far and said that im looking after her girlfriend or something like that but it was the tone" Marjorie explained. "So thats why she sat in her car, to calm down" Reece said, finally joining the dots. Marjorie nodded. "For once I didnt actually mean it"

"Reece just stay here with Char while i speak to Mia and I swear you leave her alone and you will be on the couch tonight" Marjorie whispered before slowly laying Charlotte down on the couch. Marjorie quickly went to find Mia. She watched the mean red head wipe her cheeks quickly before Marjorie opened the passenger door, getting in. "Mia it was ment to be a joke i didn't mean to upset you at all, I took it to far. I just go protective incase you woke her" Marjorie explained, mia just listened. "I mean you aren't wrong though so well I guess thank you" the pair of them stayed sat in the car chatting for a little while longer before deciding to head back inside.

Walking in Mia spots, Reece sat quietly, scrolling on his phone while mindlessly playing with Charlottes hair as she sleeps.
