4. He's back

The next morning, Reece woke up first. He went to move before noticing that Charlotte and Marjorie both had their arms wrapped tightly around him. Reece smiled softly before relaxing again, allowing Charlotte to sleep after yesterday's drama.

After a few minutes, Charlotte stirred. "sorry Reece i sleep better being cuddled." Char muttered as she let go of Reece quickly. He smiled before moving off the bed to reveal Marjorie still asleep. Charlotte moved closer and wrapped her arms around her friend. "Go back to sleep then," he giggled as Charlotte rolled her eyes. "Reece.. about yesterday, I'm really sorry, but i just saw red. I'm so sorry, " Charlotte mumbled, Reece let out a breath. "Char, I'm not angry about it okay, please try and not overthink it anymore. We both still love you." Reece whispered before pulling the covers around the both of them more. Both the girls visibly relaxed again.

After a couple of minutes, Marjorie woke up. The girls spoke about yesterdays events. A while later, Marjorie whispered as she ran her fingers along Charlottes arm calmingly. "Char, tell me to fuck off but can i just check your body. Just to make sure the marks aren't to bad that they need treating" Marjorie asked softly, trying not to distress her friend. "Yeah but could we do it in the bathroom, i just feel safer that i can lock the door. I trust Reece but still. Also, can we go now? " Marjorie nodded slowly. "When ever you are ready," she said as Charlotte slowly got up.

They both went into the bathroom. "How about you can tell me and show me where to check that way you are in full control?" Marjorie said softly as she watched Charlotte perch on the edge of the bath. "Marj, can we just get it over and done with. I dont care." Charlotte whispered before shutting her eyes and pulling her top up over her head. "Im proud of you," her friend whispered while looking over Charlottes back and arms. "You are okay. They are all healing and dont look too bad," Marjorie said calmly before helping Charlotte back into her top.

"Umm... w-why did you get me dressed so quickly. Dont you like my body anymore. We used to get changed together all the time. This isn't something new, so what's with the rush?" Charlotte whispered quickly, her hand covering her mouth as soon as she realised what she said. "Oh Charlotte, you wally, i didn't want you to be uncomfortable without it on. I still think you are beautiful, and you are still the biggest pain in my life, so please never change. " Marjorie giggled to Charlotte, gaining a slight shove from her friend. "Dickhead," Charlotte muttered as Marjorie rolled her eyes before kneeling on the floor in front of Charlotte. "Can we go back to bed after this? I'm exhausted," Marjorie asked as Charlotte lowered her leggings that she had been sleeping in. She got halfway down before shutting her eyes tightly. One of her marks was stuck on her legging, but she still pushed them down, making her leg bleed. "Fuck sake" Charlotte seethed, Marjorie quietly grabbed some tissue. "Shh its okay, I've got plasters" she reached behind her and open the under sink cabinet, grabbing the plasters. "Char can you pick me out one please" she asked Charlotte but she got no response. "Char, Charlotte, oi dick head" Marjorie slowly got louder as she snapped Charlotte from her trance. "I didn't do anything! It wasn't me!" Charlotte quickly defended herself. "I know, i was talking to you" Marjorie giggled slightly before picking a plaster herself and dressing Charlottes leg. "We are all good. Back to bed" Marjorie said as she stood up, pulling her friend with her. Charlotte followed with tears in her eyes. "Marjorie, I promise that i am trying," She mumbled as she got back into bed next to Marjorie.

This isn't the first time the girls have shared a bed. On many holidays and sleepovers, the pair have shared a bed. Charlotte wrapped her arms around herself tightly and made herself as small as possible. Marjorie watched her closely before moving closer and wrapping her arms around her friend. "I've got you." she mumbled softly while rubbing her back gently. They both got snuggled in eachothers embrace. It didn't take long for them both to dose off.
