Dear Friend,

The holiday season is upon us, and I can't believe how much has changed since I started writing to you. I feel like I've grown in ways I never expected. My friendships have deepened, and I've started to embrace who I am, quirks and all.

Last week, we had a winter dance at school. I was terrified at first, thinking about all the ways it could go wrong. But Mia convinced me to go, and I'm so glad I did. I wore a simple black dress that I borrowed from Lila, and I felt beautiful for the first time in a long time.

The gym was transformed into a winter wonderland, with twinkling lights and snowflakes hanging from the ceiling. I danced with my friends, letting the music wash over me. I even shared a slow dance with Jake, and I could feel my heart racing. It was a moment I'll never forget.

As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on everything that has happened. I've learned to embrace the chaos, to find beauty in the messiness of life. I'm excited for what the new year will bring, and I hope to continue writing, to continue exploring who I am.

Thank you for being my confidant, even if you're just a collection of pages. I can't wait to share more of my journey with you.

Yours,

Gracie
