Dear Friend,

It's hard to believe that I've been in college for over a month now! Time seems to fly by, and I'm starting to feel more settled in. However, I've also faced some challenges that have tested my resolve.

The writing workshops have been both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. I've had moments of self-doubt, especially when sharing my work with the class. There are so many talented writers here, and sometimes I feel like I'm not measuring up. But I'm learning that vulnerability is part of the process. I've started to embrace feedback as a way to grow, rather than a critique of my worth.

I've made a few friends in my classes, and we've started a small writing group that meets weekly. It's been refreshing to connect with others who share my passion and to support each other through our creative journeys.

Despite the challenges, I feel like I'm growing in ways I never expected. I'm learning to push through the discomfort and embrace the process of becoming a better writer.

Yours,
Gracie
