Letter 28: June 10, 2008

Dear Friend,

Summer is here, and I'm finally back home! It feels surreal to be surrounded by familiar sights and sounds after a year of change and growth. I spent the first few days catching up with family and friends, and it's been heartwarming to reconnect with everyone.

Reflecting on my first year of college, I can hardly believe how much I've transformed. I've learned to embrace my voice as a writer, to seek out new experiences, and to cherish the friendships that enrich my life. The challenges I faced only made me stronger, and I'm grateful for every moment.

I'm excited to dive into my summer projects. I've started working on a collection of poems that explore themes of identity and belonging. It feels like a natural progression from everything I've experienced this past year. I'm also looking forward to our reunion with Mia and Lila; I can't wait to share our stories and celebrate how far we've come.
