Space Between

Letter 16: February 28, 2007

Dear Friend,

It's been a while since I last wrote, and so much has happened! February has been a whirlwind of emotions. I received my first college acceptance letter, and I can't even describe the joy that flooded over me! It feels like all the hard work has paid off, and I'm one step closer to my dreams.

Jake has been my rock through all of this. We celebrated together with a little impromptu picnic at the park, complete with sandwiches and our favorite snacks. I love how we can share these moments and support each other's dreams. He's been busy with his own music, working on new songs, and I'm so proud of him.

However, I've also been feeling the weight of impending goodbyes. As graduation approaches, I can't help but think about how much I'll miss my friends. Mia and Lila have been my constants, and the thought of going our separate ways is bittersweet. We've been planning a weekend getaway to make some final memories before we all head off to college.
