Aedion

"We should probably get back to the castle before the council is over. We ought to be there for Aelin." he said. He knew that Aelin didn't need them there, but he was glad to have an excuse to not look at Sam.

He didn't like the fact that Sam was here. He could still remember all those scars that Aelin had from Endovier. The first time he saw them he almost cried. It had always been his job to protect her, that was why he was sent to Terrassen, to protect Aelin.

He had heard the story of Sam a couple of times, but he had also heard the story of Aelin crying over his dead and mangled body. Seeing the man here, it didn't suit well with Aedion. His cousin, his Queen had suffered for him. It had been his idea to go after Farran and Ioane, Aelin had tried to talk him out of it, but he had been stubborn and had done it anyway. Because of that she had gone looking for revenge, because of that she had been sent to Endovier. He couldn't look at him without wanting to hurt him, but he held back, it wasn't his place. Aelin could decide to hate him or forgive him, it had nothing to do with him as much as he hated it.

Mini chapter since I have been a bit busy and haven't finished the next one. Hopefully I'll have it for this week. Hope you like this three paragraphs though.
