[At Floral Meadows Canopy]
YOUR POV
The warm spring breeze brushed past me as I enjoyed my vanilla ice cream, the vibrant flowers in every shade swaying gently in the breeze. Their sweet fragrance filled the air.
I stole a glance at the man beside me and caught him staring at me through his black shades.
"Enjoying the view?" I teased, raising an eyebrow.
"More than anything," Jungkook replied with a smirk. I laughed, throwing my head back.
This man was truly something else. When he said he wanted to take me on an ice cream date. I'd simply agreed. But turns out that he'd booked an entire botanical garden just for us.
"Isn't it nice in here? I love the environment. It's better than those fancy restaurants," he said casually, taking another bite of his ice cream.
I nodded. "Yeah, it's really nice. I love it here too. But I think... it's a bit too much?"
He pushed his shades up to rest on his head, revealing those big doe eyes I adored. "Too much?"
"You didn't have to book an entire botanical garden just for an ice cream date, you know? You're spoiling me too much."
I appreciate his efforts but I don't like to see him spend so much on me. That makes me feel bad.
He just rolled his eyes. "You're already spoiled. A spoiled-bratty-little-girl."
I smacked his shoulder playfully, eliciting a laugh from him.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry! Don't be mad, little girl" he said, still laughing. "I just value my privacy. I'd do the same for my friends or family. Being a public figure doesn't leave me with any other option. So, stop overthinking, okay? Now, tell me about your event preparation. Isn't it coming up next week?"
"Yeah. I've finished most of my paintings. There's just one left that's only halfway done. I want to experiment with a few more shades and styles before completing it and I'm currently working on it."
"That's great. Your paintings will be on exhibition and for sale for the first time. That's just... wow!"
I shoved the last piece of cone in my mouth. "Yeah and I feel like I'm not ready for that yet."
Jungkook reached out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "Hey, don't be nervous. I know you're more than ready for this. You're an amazing artist and your creativity deserves recognition."
I couldn't help but smile warmly.
"You think so?""I firmly believe so," he said with confidence. "Even if things don't go as planned, don't lose hope. You know, even Picasso's artwork wasn't appreciated in his time. Some things just take time. So, keep going and have faith in yourself."
I nodded, feeling a wave of gratitude and warmth. This man never failed to lift me up with his kind words or his touch, or even his smile.
I lied down on the meadow, resting my head on Jungkook's lap, feeling utterly content. His fingers tangled in my hair, massaging gently.
The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting playful shadows on my face. Our eyes met and love swirled between us in an unspoken language.
Raising my hand, I reached out to touch his cheek, my fingers delicately caressing his skin. He closed his eyes, savoring the moment.
