Taehyung felt a heaviness pressing down on him. It wasn’t that he wanted to ignore it, but fear had wrapped around him like a dark cloud.

The growing anxiety over Jungkook’s absence only added to his unease, making him feel lost and vulnerable.

Instinctively, he decided to keep his distance from anything that felt even remotely dangerous—anything that reminded him of that scary and creepy vision.

Jungkook drove home with an intensity he couldn’t explain. His mind replayed every moment he had spent with Taehyung.

The realization had struck him, powerful and undeniable: he was in love with him.

This realization now filled him with an urgent longing to be near Taehyung, to melt in his arms.

Finally, Jungkook arrived home. The soft sounds of chatter and clinking dishes met his ears as he stepped into the hallway.

The maids were setting up  lunch on the dining table, and he recognized each dish as his favorite.

Aera, sitting nearby and scrolling on her phone, looked up the moment she heard the front door open. She broke into a wide smile and stood, moving toward him with a welcoming gesture.

"Come, come, Jungkook!" she called, her voice warm and lively. "Let’s have lunch. I assume you must be starving."

Jungkook nodded, feeling the emptiness in his stomach but barely acknowledging it.

His eyes darted around the room, searching for Taehyung’s familiar face, unable to focus on anything else. Where is he? In his room? he wondered, his heart beating faster with each passing second.

And then, he saw him.

Taehyung stepped into the hallway, having heard Aera call Jungkook’s name from outside.

He had dressed carefully, every detail attended to, but his nerves betrayed him as he walked forward, unable to look away from Jungkook.

Their eyes locked, and time seemed to freeze. In that gaze, they exchanged a world of unspoken emotions—love, longing, the silent pain of separation they had both felt in past days.

Jungkook moved to sit down at the dining table, keeping his gaze on Taehyung. Without words, he invited Taehyung to join him with gestures.

Taehyung felt his heart race. Every small effort he’d put into looking his best had been worth it. Jungkook’s admiring gaze made him feel seen in a way he hadn’t felt in a long time.

There was a soft wonder in Jungkook’s expression, as if he couldn’t believe the beauty standing before him, he felt he was under some spell.

As Taehyung took his seat, Aera joined them, settling into her chair.

The three of them began to eat, the quietness of their meal punctuated only by the gentle clinking of cutlery.

The maids moved gracefully around them, serving each dish with precision and care.

After a few moments, Aera spoke up, breaking the silence with her familiar, warm tone.

"Well, Jungkook, I’ll be heading back to Seoul after lunch," she said, her eyes meeting his with a touch of responsibility.

"I’ve taken care of everything here, and now it’s your turn to look after things. And as for the new project, I’ll return in about a week for the commencement ceremony."
