Jungkook’s chest felt heavy, like he couldn’t breathe. He had wanted to find Taehyung so badly, but not here—not in a place like this. The sight of him was enough to shatter his heart.

Tears ran down Jungkook’s cheeks, and he couldn’t stop them. The thought of what Taehyung must have gone through was too much to bear.

His mind kept imagining the worst, each thought cutting deeper than the last.

His sniffles were the only sound in the room. His throat was so tight that he couldn’t speak, no matter how much he wanted to.

The pain inside him made it impossible to say anything.

Taehyung, with his eyes still covered, felt someone’s presence. He heard the quiet crying and knew a client had entered.

He didn’t know who it was, but the sound of tears only deepened the emptiness he already felt.

With trembling legs and heavy steps, Jungkook moved closer to Taehyung. Each step felt like carrying the weight of all the pain, all the years of separation.

Taehyung, sensing the presence drawing nearer, felt his heart thud weakly in his chest. There was something familiar, something that stirred a memory he couldn’t reach.

Jungkook’s hand shook as he reached out, carefully removing the blindfold covering Taehyung’s eyes.

The moment it fell away, Taehyung blinked against the dim light. His eyes slowly focused on the figure in front of him—a figure trembling and crying, and so painfully familiar.

Taehyung’s hands shook as he grabbed Jungkook’s shoulder and gave it a desperate shake. “Taejun…?” The word came out weak and broken. His voice cracked, and tears filled his eyes, spilling down his face. He stood there, his knees shaking, his heart breaking all over again, as he tried to find the words he couldn’t say.

Jungkook nodded, his face streaked with tears. “He asks about you every day,” he whispered, his voice barely holding together.

Those words struck Taehyung like a thunderbolt. The thought that his son knew him, thought of him, missed him—it was overwhelming.

His chest heaved as sobs broke free, the years of longing pouring out uncontrollably. The tears wouldn’t stop, as though they had been locked away for too long.

Without a second thought, Jungkook shrugged off his coat, his hands moving quickly but gently. He draped it over Taehyung’s shoulders, shielding his exposed body from the world and its cruelty.

The sight of Taehyung in that revealing dress, his heart ache even more, a sharp reminder of what he had endured.

Jungkook couldn’t stand the thought of Taehyung staying in such a terrible place even a second longer. Gently grabbing his wrist, he said in a firm but soft voice, “Let’s go home. Taejun is waiting for you.”

Taehyung froze for a moment, his blue eyes widening as tears filled them. The mention of his son brought a flicker of hope to his tired face. He nodded, his lips trembling, and the desire to finally see his son gave his weak legs strength.

Jungkook hurried him toward the exit, their steps fast and determined.

But before they could leave, the owner stepped in their way. “You can’t take him with you, Mr. Jeon, you need to pay more” the man said, his voice sharp and grating.
