Isuna, Yui, and Miaka stood on the edge of a vast plain, the world around them completely alien. A soft breeze rustled through the long grass, and the sky above was an impossibly deep shade of blue. The only sound was the faint call of distant birds. Miaka was the first to speak, her voice full of disbelief.

"What just happened? Where are we? This doesn't look like the library!"

Yui looked around cautiously, her expression grim. "I don’t know... but we need to stay together and figure this out."

Isuna, ever the composed one, tried to make sense of the situation. The strange energy they had felt when the book opened was still lingering, and she could sense something was off, but she couldn’t explain why. “We should be careful. I don’t think this place is as safe as it seems.”

Suddenly, from the shadows of the tall grass, a man appeared—a rugged figure with dark, unkempt hair and a confident stance. He wore simple, travel-worn clothes, and his piercing eyes seemed to see right through them.

Before they could react, the man lunged forward, grabbing Miaka’s bag. "Hey! That’s mine!" Miaka shouted, struggling to keep hold of it.

“Get away from her!” Isuna’s protective instinct kicked in as she quickly stepped between the man and Miaka.

The thief smirked, not at all surprised by the resistance. "You think you can stop me, girl?"

Isuna’s body tensed, her mind racing. Over the years, she had picked up some martial arts from her older brother, who had been determined to teach her self-defense. She had also made sure to learn basic combat techniques for her own safety. Without hesitation, she spun and delivered a swift kick to the thief’s side, knocking him back a few steps.

Miaka stared at her, eyes wide. "Whoa, Isuna! I didn’t know you could do that!"

But before Isuna could react further, more figures emerged from the surrounding grass, surrounding them in a circle. It was clear they were outnumbered.

"Looks like I’m not the only one with a taste for the spoils," the thief said, his smirk widening. His companions grinned, brandishing weapons—knives, swords, and daggers.

Isuna and Miaka glanced at each other, panic flashing in their eyes. They were good, but not this good. The thief and his group were armed, and they were clearly experienced.

Then, just as the situation seemed hopeless, a figure appeared, moving with incredible speed. A blur of motion, the man effortlessly dispatched two of the thieves with a few well-placed strikes. He was tall, with sharp, determined eyes and a commanding presence that made even the surrounding thieves hesitate.

“Who are you?” Isuna demanded, trying to catch her breath as she watched the stranger fight.

The man paused for a brief moment, eyes locking with hers. "Just someone passing through," he said simply, before he knocked out another attacker with a swift blow. "You should have been more careful. It’s dangerous out here."

Miaka, still a little stunned, raised an eyebrow. “Well, I’m glad you showed up when you did. You sure know how to fight.”

With one final strike, the remaining thieves scattered, disappearing into the tall grass like frightened animals.

The man turned to Isuna, Yui, and Miaka, a faint smile playing on his lips. "I didn’t do it for thanks. You were in trouble, so I helped."

Miaka, always quick to voice her thoughts, put her hands on her hips and shot him a skeptical look. "Yeah, but you saved us. You should at least let us do something in return. How about we buy you lunch? Or—"

“Miaka!” Yui hissed, but Miaka was already reaching into her bag.

Isuna, still recovering from the shock, stepped forward. “You’re right, Miaka. We should at least thank him.”

The man shook his head, dismissing the offer. “It’s fine. I didn’t need your help. Just be more careful next time.” He turned to leave, but paused mid-step, a look of realization crossing his face. "Wait—" He glanced back at them. "I almost forgot… I have a strange feeling about you all. Something feels... different."

Before any of them could ask what he meant, a sudden pulse of light filled the air, coming from the stranger. Isuna instinctively stepped back, her eyes widening as the light seemed to form around him. But just as quickly as it had appeared, it faded, leaving the man standing in front of them, unchanged.

"What was that?" Miaka whispered, glancing nervously at the strange man.

"Nothing. Don’t worry about it," the man replied shortly, and with one last glance at the girls, he walked off toward the horizon.

Miaka sighed, turning to Isuna and Yui. "Ugh, what a guy. He’s so mysterious and weird!"

“Miaka,” Yui warned. "Don’t get too attached. We still need to find a way back to our world."

But Isuna was staring after the man, a strange feeling gnawing at her. Something about him felt... important, like they were meant to cross paths.

Just then, the ground beneath them seemed to shift. The sky darkened in an instant, and the wind howled through the air. Isuna felt an inexplicable pull in her chest, urging her to move toward it. But before she could speak, she saw Yui suddenly sway on her feet.

"Yui?" Isuna reached out to steady her, but before she could, a flash of light engulfed Yui, and in the blink of an eye, Yui was gone.

"What the—Yui!" Miaka screamed, looking around in a panic. "Where did she go?!"

Isuna’s heart sank. “No, not again…” She looked around frantically, but there was no sign of Yui. Only the endless plains stretched before them.

Miaka, still in shock, didn’t notice the strange binding light that seemed to flicker behind her, the same light that had surrounded the man before. Isuna, however, felt it deep in her bones—a familiar, ancient power.

"Yui..." Isuna whispered, her voice shaking. "Where did you go?"

But before she could process what was happening, she too felt that pull—stronger now, like it was pulling at her very soul. A blinding light suddenly surrounded her, the same energy she had felt before, and in an instant, she too was gone.

"Isuna!?" Miaka cried, spinning around to find Isuna had vanished.

The world around her felt like it was collapsing. The wind screamed through the empty plain, and Miaka was left standing alone, utterly lost.

"No… this can’t be happening!" Miaka shouted, her voice breaking as she looked around helplessly.

And as the winds howled and the world seemed to fade into nothingness, Miaka felt an overwhelming sense of fear. Her friends were gone—and whatever force had taken them was only just beginning to show its true power.
