The search for Isuna Hoshizora had reached a new level of urgency, drawing the attention of both Seiryuu and Suzaku, whose realms now collided in their struggle to secure her. Trapped within a chamber of ice, Isuna’s spirit called out like a silent beacon, stirring unrest across both realms. Seiryuu recognized her value as a potential ally to his priestess, Yui, while Suzaku saw her as a stabilizing force for Miaka, his chosen one. Neither deity could afford to lose her to the other, knowing she could tip the scales of power in their ongoing battle.
In Kutou’s palace, Yui’s anxiety was mounting. Nakago, sensing the same urgency, had enlisted the help of one of Seiryuu’s Seven—the mysterious and cunning illusionist, Tomo. Tomo was unlike the other Seiryuu warriors; his appearance was striking, inspired by the powerful traditions of Peking opera. His face was painted in intricate designs that echoed the “Jing” role, representing fierce, mighty characters. The black streaks across his face symbolized integrity, while the white reflected cunning and cruelty. The deep red stripes hinted at a loyalty to Seiryuu, while hints of blue marked his unyielding persistence.
As he moved, Tomo’s makeup seemed almost alive, the colors shifting slightly with each gesture. His presence was both mesmerizing and unsettling, an embodiment of theatrical might and mystery. And his talents in illusion would now be directed toward locating the missing girl who held the attention of both gods.
Tomo bowed gracefully before Nakago, his movements precise, almost dance-like. “You summoned me, Nakago-sama?” His voice was smooth, almost melodic, but it carried an undercurrent of coldness.
“Yes,” Nakago replied, his tone unwavering. “We have reason to believe this girl, Isuna, may hold importance to both Seiryuu and Suzaku. Use your abilities to find her location. It must be exact, and it must be soon.”
Tomo’s painted face curved into a slight smile. “Ah, the girl entwined with our priestess’s fate… intriguing. I shall trace her, but be aware—this may take some time. The spiritual resonance around her is complex.” He closed his eyes, extending his senses, letting the colors of his face seem to deepen as his magic began to unravel the barriers between worlds.

Meanwhile, back at Taiitsukun’s palace, Miaka anxiously awaited news from Chichiri, who had gone out to gather information on any leads regarding Isuna's location. The air was thick with worry as Miaka sat beside Tamahome, her mind racing with visions of her friend suffering in isolation.
Finally, Chichiri returned, his expression serious. “Miaka, I think I’ve found something, no da.”
Miaka and Tamahome looked up, their anticipation visible. “What did you find, Chichiri?” she asked urgently.
Chichiri took a deep breath, his face thoughtful. “I’ve heard talk of an ancient site hidden in the mountains bordering Kutou and the northern regions—a place called Tsukikage's Keep. It’s a fortress that was abandoned long ago, shrouded in secrecy and harshly guarded by frigid storms. It’s said that strange energies radiate from it, and few who wander close return. It seems that it may now be used as a prison or sanctuary for powerful entities.”
Miaka’s eyes widened. “Do you think that’s where they’re keeping Isuna?”
Chichiri nodded slowly. “It fits what we know, no da. The locals believe that Tsukikage’s Keep is cursed, and anyone held within its walls remains frozen in time. If Isuna is there, then she could be trapped in that ice chamber, unable to break free. But that also means it’s heavily guarded by ancient magic.”
Tamahome clenched his fists, determination flashing in his gaze. “Then we have to go. I’ll break through whatever barrier they’ve put up if I have to.”
Chichiri placed a hand on his shoulder. “It’s not that simple, Tamahome. Tsukikage’s Keep is protected by layers of spells—both physical and spiritual. We’ll need to proceed carefully. And if Tomo is also searching for her, he may already be close. His illusions could make it nearly impossible to reach Isuna if we’re not prepared.”
Miaka took a deep breath, gathering her resolve. “Then we’ll go together and face whatever is there. Isuna is our friend, and I won’t let her stay trapped in that place any longer.”
Chichiri nodded. “Then we’ll head toward Tsukikage’s Keep at first light, no da. We must be cautious, though. If both Suzaku and Seiryuu’s forces converge on that place, it will become a battleground. Isuna may be the key to balancing the two realms, and neither side can afford to let her fall into the hands of the other.”
As they prepared to set off on their journey, Miaka felt a surge of hope, knowing they were one step closer to rescuing Isuna. But beneath the hope lingered an ominous awareness—Tsukikage’s Keep was a place of hidden power, and both gods had their eyes on it.
