[The scene focuses on Clyde as he prepares to do something what most would deem impossible. The tension is high, the momentum is there, and Clyde is about to give everything he has in one shot. And the camera shifts to focus on a wooden table, it reveals Clyde had successfully landed a ping-pong ball into a cup of beer.]
Clyde: Success!
[We zoom out to reveal the setting is taking place inside Clyde's apartment. Clyde, his friends, and Eunice are gathered to have a night in to save money, and to make the night more fun, they are placing bets on who can land a small ping pong ball into cups of beer. After having witnessing Clyde's successful attempt, Gene and Eunice are in shock and awe. Meanwhile, Kyle and Derrick lean back as soon as Clyde's turn was complete.]
Eunice: That's amazing!
Derrick: Nice. [Folds arms]
Gene: How were you able to do that without even looking?
Clyde: I don't know, I just went ahead and did it.
Kyle: Joke all you want, but now it's my turn!
[Kyle grabs a ping pong ball as he steadies his aim carefully. Kyle gently throws the ball, only to splash the cup of beer all over Gene. Gene's face and shirt are entirely soaked with beer as liquid drips down from the bangs of his hair.]
Gene: Why are you like this?
Kyle: [Groans] Of course! It's the atmosphere! That's the problem! Why couldn't we have done this at the bar?
Clyde: Because, Kyle, the last time we played beer pong at Andre's, we nearly poked someone's eye out. ...And that someone was his Andre.
Derrick: And I'd like to not get kicked out from our favorite hang out spot just because somebody wanted to fool around.
Kyle: Hey, the waitress didn't say no.
[Derrick responds with a facepalm.]
Clyde: Gimme a break, Kyle!
Gene: Can someone hand me a napkin?
[Clyde and Derrick begin to bicker at Kyle, and Gene continues to be frustrated over not being handed anything to clean his mess. Though, Clyde eventually hands something to Gene. But as the bickering fades into the background, Eunice receives an alert on her phone. Eunice feels this vibrating in her back pocket and she reaches to grab her phone to check the notification. As she reads through the message, she lets out a gasp, then screams to gather the group's attention, which eventually stops their bickering.]
Eunice: Guys! I got my Blink partnership!
[The guys stare at Eunice with utter shock. Their frozen body language suggests that the guys' bickering was leading into a fight where Derrick had pulled Kyle's cheek, with Kyle responding by grabbing his shirt. Clyde had both his arms wrapped around Derrick and Kyle as it appeared he was preparing to choke them, and Gene was leaning forward with his finger wagging at the guys' direction.]
