[The setting takes place in the early autumn of October where Clyde is walking on the sidewalks and is just getting out of work. Clyde grabs his phone to call his friends and the scene shifts into a split screen where we can see Kyle answering the phone on the right side.]
Clyde: Hey, Kyle!
Kyle: Hey! Dude. Are you just getting out of work?
Clyde: Yeah, you too?
Kyle: Totally.
Clyde: Wanna hang at Andre's tonight?
Kyle: Yeah, let me just get Gene on the call.
[Kyle adds Gene to the call and he picks up. The screen splits to where Clyde and Kyle's settings are moved up, where Gene's setting is at the bottom center of the screen.]
Gene: Hello?
Kyle: Yo, Gene!
Clyde: Kyle and I were just talking about hitting the pub tonight.
Kyle: Wanna join us?
Gene: Sure! Let me just dial Derrick real quick.
[Gene adds Derrick to the call and he picks up. Gene's scene moves to the bottom left as Derrick's scene enters from the right.]
Derrick: What's up, Gene?
Clyde: Hey! We thought about hanging at Andre's tonight. Wanna join us?
Derrick: Nah, I'm good.
Kyle: Come on, dude! You have to join us!
Gene: Yeah, we always go there.
Derrick: And normally I would be all for that, but tonight I got a date with Eunice.
Kyle: [Exasperates] You're so lame!
Clyde: Dude...
Derrick: Whatever.
Gene: Hey, have a good time tonight, Derrick!
Derrick: You too! Later.
[Derrick hangs up the call as we zoom into Derrick's scene, where he has just arrived toward a Tech Shop. Eunice is standing by the window as she's waiting for Derrick. Eunice turns to her right to see Derrick arriving, and waves out to him.]
Eunice: Hey, Derrick!
[Derrick sees Eunice, and he lays a smile until suddenly a roar of thunder and a flash of lightning appeared before the scene.]
Present Day, November 29th...
[The scene has shifted to exactly a month later, where Derrick is standing outside the tech shop in the rain. Derrick is holding an umbrella to cover himself from the rain, despite not feeling physically drenched, he is down in the dumps. Derrick notices Eunice isn't there as he just recently had a falling out with Eunice. Derrick looks down and takes a moment to sigh as the scene turns black.]
