[In a dream-like sequence, Clyde is recollecting the events of the past week in his head.]

Gene: Ms. Kyomi is asking me to shoot for the lighting of the tree.

Clyde: You mean the one down Rockefeller?

Gene: Yeah... You know, it should only take me an hour to shoot the photos, why don't you come?

[The scene shifts to the guys trying to convince Clyde to ask Alyssa out to the Christmas Avenue.]

Clyde: No! Alyssa just wants to be friends, and I don't want to mess anything up, especially after she already rejected me twice.

Derrick: All I'm saying is, it's been three months and I've seen the way you two act around each other. If there's ever a good chance, now's the time.

[Clyde shifts through visions of his previous double date with Alyssa, and when he went to take care of Alyssa when she was sick.]

Kyle: Yeah, Clyde! Ask her out!

[The scene shifts to Kyle trying to convince the guys to bring dates to Christmas Avenue.]

Kyle: It's the perfect romantic set up! Just think of it! Everybody has someone, and nobody is by themselves.

[Clyde flashes over through the various women Kyle has tried to hook him up with, only to flash back to Alyssa staring back at Clyde with a smile. Clyde snaps out of it as he thinks back to himself.]

Clyde: I want to be with Alyssa. There's nobody else I'd rather be with. Who am I kidding? She would probably say "no" like she did before. Maybe we are just better off as friends...

[We flashback to Alyssa mentioning how she was considering being alone to herself this Christmas, as she wasn't feeling very festive this year. And as we shift to the cafe they frequent, Clyde is telling Alyssa about the same Christmas Avenue his friends were telling him about before. Alyssa hadn't heard of it before since she is still new to Boston, and as Clyde catches himself with the opportunity to ask her to it, Clyde slowly leans into asking her the question.]

Clyde: Say, um... Maybe this could help put you in the festive mood?

Alyssa: What do you mean?

Clyde: I-uh! What I mean is... um... would you like to go with me?

[Alyssa's eyes widen while her cheeks turn red. Alyssa was surprised by this, her mind turned into an immediate state of confusion. She didn't know what to say or how to react. The first words that came out of Alyssa's words was the only thought she could collect.]

Alyssa: Hu-huh?!

[Clyde stops to realize he may have accidentally spooked her about the concept of dating. He immediately tries to back up his question so he doesn't make her feel uncomfortable.]

Clyde: W-wait! It's just for the Christmas show, really! We can go as friends if you'd like?

Alyssa: No.

Clyde: Um. Oh, I-

Alyssa: No, I mean, I don't mind going with just you.

Clyde: Wait, time out. Are you saying what I think you're saying?

Alyssa: Well, you just asked me to go out with you. So, you tell me?

Clyde: I-um. Wait, are you sure?

Alyssa: Yes! I'm sure! I want to go out with you.

[The next shot features Alyssa staring back at Clyde with a kind smile until a white light blinds the scene. The light fades as it reveals Clyde slowly, but gently, wakes up to find himself in his bedroom as he tries to clear his head. Clyde's voice sounds groggy, but quiet.]
