[As the scene first appears pitch black, we hear a sudden pounding in the background. A pair of eyes opens as it reveals that the setting had taken place inside Clyde's apartment. Clyde's hair was messy, with a portion sticking up from the side. He was wearing a T-shirt, and a pair of white sweat pants. Clyde stands up to check the direction of where the pounding noise was coming from, only he could hear voices echoing nearby. Clyde discovers that the noise came from the front door as he slowly approaches it.]
Gene (Echo): Wake up, Clyde!
Kyle (Echo): Yeah, we're supposed to head to the convention together!
Gene (Echo): We've been waiting for this day for over a month.
Kyle (Echo): Come on, let's go!
[Clyde opens the door to see Gene and Kyle standing before them, as they appear excited and gleeful faces. We shift to his friend's perspective as Clyde slams the door on them. Gene turns to Kyle with a shameful look.]
Gene: At least he wore pants.

ACT ONE:
[The setting shifts to roughly forty-five minutes later as Clyde is walking along the sidewalk with Gene and Kyle. Clyde was carrying a cup of coffee to wake himself up.]
Clyde: Thanks for the coffee, Kyle.
Kyle: No prob'!
Gene: I've heard that Console Con is one of the world's largest gaming conventions in the world. Many players from all around the country come down to participate in tournaments, win prizes, and probably so that they can see the new trailers before they officially drop online.
Kyle: Hopefully we don't get ourselves caught waiting in line to enter.
Clyde: Alyssa bought us VIP tickets, so we shouldn't have to wait forever if we do.
Gene: Shouldn't?
Kyle: That's a bold statement, Clyde.
Clyde: Well, I'm just thinking that maybe we'll get lucky.
[Clyde looks down the sidewalk to see Eunice and Derrick crossing their way.]
Clyde: Hey, there's Derrick and Eunice.
[Eunice turns to see Clyde and the group staring back at them.]
Eunice: Hey guys!
