[Outside the busy streets of Boston, a cold breeze blows through the air. Three weeks have passed since Derrick and Eunice have gotten back together. While the group hasn't directly realized it, the holiday season is fast approaching. We pan down to see Clyde, Derrick, Kyle and Gene walking in heavier jackets, scarfs, whereas Gene wore mittens to keep his hands warm. The streets seemed busier than normal as people were out and about. Kyle felt a sense of feeling cluttered as he tries to pass by a stranger, until he successfully turns to meet back with his friends.]

Kyle: Ever notice how every time it hits this time of year, the city seems busier than normal?

[A group of screaming kids, who were chasing each other, pass by Derrick. Derrick rubs his ear as one kid manages to scream into his ear.]

Derrick: Yeah! Not to mention louder.

Gene: Well, yeah. We just passed Black Friday, it's almost Christmas time.

[Clyde turns to his left to see a department-store owner hold a sale sign.]

Clyde: Is that so?

Clyde: Is that so?

ACT ONE:

[The scene shifts to inside the second floor of a downtown coffee chain, the same one Clyde did work with Derrick and Eunice. Clyde, Gene, Kyle and Derrick were sitting at a table in the far right corner as they took a moment to relax after the pressure from both work and the crowd outside.]

Clyde: Man, work was exhausting today.

Gene: Tell me about it. Iris was contracted by this sports company to promote their basketball league to kick off the season. With that and the holiday portrait photography, my team and I and I will be busy editing the next two weeks.

Derrick: Two weeks? Surely it doesn't take that long to edit the photos.

Gene: Not for the basketball league, but our other client wants to review everything because they'll want to select photos from different angles and they may ask for a reshoot.

Kyle: "That's rough buddy."

[Kyle sips on his coffee as Gene understands what he is referencing. Gene couldn't tell if he is being serious or sarcastic, so he chooses to shrug it off.]

Gene: I just hope my next client isn't as picky over the photos. I'm shooting for a wedding in a few weeks, and we're supposed to meet tomorrow to see if we click.

Kyle: Let me guess, they're getting married on New Years?

Gene: Yep, it's a way to kick off the new year.

Clyde: Speaking of the new year, I should have my new job by then if everything works out.

Derrick: Key word, if.
