CHARLIE

- I'll go check if they're asleep. - I told to my younger sister as tiptoeing towards their bedroom.

We were sneaking out for our friend's party. We've done this before and so obviously we would do it again and again. After making sure they are not awake and wouldn't wake up any soon i slowly walked downstairs.

My sister was waiting by the door and already putting on her shoes. Her hair was curled and she was wearing some sort of a black, short dress.

- They'll kill me and make you do all of the chores for weeks after this. - I told her as throwing on a jacket.

- You're such a coward, you know that? - She barked back as standing straight.

I rolled my eyes, not wanting to deepen the discussion and opened the door carefully, slipping out of the house and walking towards my car that my parents gifted to me for my 18th birthday.

- Can i drive? - My sister asks as walking over to the car.

I raise my eyebrow in disbelief. Over my dead body you are i think and shake my head for no, then get in the car and wait for her to also join me inside.

The drive from our house to our friend's home took us around ten minutes. We walked over to the entrance and went inside, expecting loud music and a huge crowd of people.

- I'll go look for Mia! - Leah shouted since the music was loud enough i could barely hear my own thoughts.

I nodded my head and started walking ahead, trying to find my cousin Rico. My sister was always closer with his sister, even though the four of us were basically always together as a group.

They were identical twins, and the only different thing about them was the sex. Rico was a guy and Mia a girl. When i finally found him i felt relief wash over me.

- They let you come? - He asked.

- No way. Not after last time. - I responded as pouring some alcohol into a plastic cup. - Leah's here too.

- Did you tell her to behave? - My cousin questioned, having in mind the situation from a few months back.

Leah got into a fight with some girls over god knows what. I took her home right after and when our parents found her beaten up in the morning we were forbidden from going out for at least a month.

- She won't do anything! - I assured him as leaning in, since it was loud enough that the two of us heard each other.

Unfortunately she did not behave properly. There was another fight happening, which of course my little sister caused. The cops arrived and took her away, alongside me.

I joined in since some guys from our school wanted to take a part and nearly rip her apart. We were waiting on the police station for our parents to come pick us up.

I saw my mum walk through the entrance and approaching us at a steady pace with a really worried face and our father following right behind.

ISABELLA

- You're nearly 18 for fuck's sake Charlie! - I shouted at my son sitting in the backseat with an ice pack pressed to his forehead.

- And you Leah. I'm really disappointed in you. - Jobe glanced at the girl, and she lowered her gaze.

I shook my head in disbelief and anger. She got into a fight again, and this time it was also her brother participating. I couldn't believe it. We didn't raise them like this.

- You're getting sent away to a boarding school. - Jobe started, making Leah's face expression change. - And you as for you, Uncle Jude needs another striker. You're going to Birmingham if you like it or not. - He finished, and we heard a discussion creating.

We came home in absolute silence. This was the only way we could somehow manage them. We couldn't afford another arrest, and more criminal record creating in their cases.

A few days later the two of them left home. I felt horrible sending them away, but them being in London was no good. I missed them a lot and worried like never but this was the only way for them to actually get their shit together.

- I love you. - Jobe kissed my lips and sat down beside me in the living room.

- I love you more. What do you think Leah is doing right now?

- Enough. She will send us a letter at the end of the month. Let's relax! - Jobe reminded and hugged me tightly with his one arm.

I sighed and nodded my head, cuddling into him. Maybe he was right. There was finally peace at home. Silence that i really wanted. I could finally work in my home.

And i was still happy. Bit worried, but still loved and fulfilled.
