CHAPTER 5

A FEW DAYS LATER i found myself packing for a weekend trip to Sunderland. Jobe invited me to one of his games and i just couldn't say no.

I was sitting on the floor of my bedroom with my suitcase wide open. I didn't know what to pack since i've never been to the city.

The furthest i'd go is to Southampton and back, so where my family originally came from. Levi and I would visit the town often since he bought a part of the club.

I sighed and glanced around the room, realising how messy my room has become from all the looking through clothes. I was about to give up and just not go but that's when my best friend came inside of the room.

Molly had been dating Levi for a while now. She was a year younger than him, and we went to the same high school for a little.

- You need my help? - She asked with a smile and approached me.

The girl had her hair slicked back in a ponytail and was wearing black leggings as well as a dark blue hoodie. The girl sat beside me and started searching through a pile of clothes on the ground.

- At this point i should just stay home. - I lingered as resting my head on the girl's arm.

- You're going. It's your chance to get your man girl! - She noticed with a cocky smile.

I shook my head with a grin. Yeah i might have wanted him, but he was a bad choice. Being a wag was never in my desires or dreams.

I didn't want to be recognised in a public toilet somewhere in Australia, only because i'm dating a footballer.

Being a player's sister was enough fame to me. I did get recognised but it was different from dating. Girls go absolutely bonkers when their favourite player starts dating, and i couldn't be bothered to deal with any of the hate.

- What if it rains? What if it's hot? You know the weather in England. - I listen making the blonde giggle.

- You're overthinking. It's just for three days Bels! - She assured as packing a sweater to the suitcase.

- Maybe. Or maybe i want to look decent. - I answered and stood up from the floor, walking to the vanity and starting to pack my makeup.

- You always look good. Not decent. - She complimented as looking my way.

I smiled to the girl with appreciation. Molly always knew what to say. I was glad that her and Levi worked things out and were back on track. She was the best best friend i could've ever asked for.

With her help i was able to pack in less than two hours. Then i took a quick shower, did my makeup and braided my hair into two plats.

Since my hair had a natural curl pattern i couldn't be bothered to do more than that. I put on my grey sweatpants and a matching hoodie. Then i layered a jacket on top and a black cap.

I was wearing my converses, so probably one of my favourite shoes. Levi helped me bring the suitcase downstairs and even gave me a lift to the train station.

Yes you heard it right. I was going alone by a train. It was around four and the travel time was around three and a half hours.

After saying my goodbyes i got on and sat on my seat by the window. I liked traveling. Matter of fact i wanted to travel the world, alone or with someone. Didn't matter.

I promised myself, that once i'm older, i'll live in a pretty place. I loved a good view, so the window seat was the only option for me at the moment.

I went on my phone just after the train left the station and took a selfie which i then posted on my instagram story. I smiled to myself when i saw Jobe liking it.

I connected my Airpods and played a random playlist with High School Sweethearts by Melanie Martinez coming up first. I was excited to reunited with Jobe.

The train arrived just after seven. I got off and took out my phone from the pocket of my hoodie. I saw that Jobe texted me that he will be waiting.

I started looking around trying to spot the guy. It wasn't too hard, because the guy was tall, and just after a few seconds i finally saw him.

I started approaching him and realised that he was smiling as i got closer. When we were just a couple of feet away i could see that he was holding some sort of flowers in his hands.

- Look at you! What a romantic. - I teased as stopping in front of the guy.

- Surprised? - He scanned me with a grin and reached for my suitcase.

I passed it to him and took the bouquet from him. He bought my favorite flowers, Asiatic Lilies and Peonies. They were white and pink. I smiled and sniffed them.

- How did you know those were my favorites? - I asked as we begun walking towards the parking lot.

- I didn't. Hoped and prayed they were i guess. - He replied, and it felt like i knew that he was going to say those words.

He's gotten me flowers before. Most of them i still had back in London. I kept them in a cardboard box where after drying them.

- I didn't think that Sunderland is this cute. - I continued the conversation.

- I'll show you more of the city tomorrow. Maybe you'll like it enough to come back. - He smirked as we reached the car.

I shrugged my shoulder and watched Jobe put my luggage in the trunk. Something inside of me found that so hot i felt the heat on my skin.

I shook it off right after i saw his father get out of the car. My heart skipped a beat when i saw the friendly looking man with the warmest smile approach me.

I adored him, but if he recognised me and told Jobe who i was, my entire plan would end up in shambles. I prayed that i changed enough thought the years for him not to know me.
