CHAPTER 10

A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER i was getting ready for my first day of Uni. It was an exciting time, and i woke up ecstatic. The sun was shining and it was quite warm outside.

My brother helped me move in to my flat which was situated in one of the campuses near my school and i just loved it. I was sharing it with a girl named Victoria.

She was a blonde with hazel eyes and a body of a model. She was the complete opposite of me. Her name was Victoria and she was the sister of a popular Belgian singer, Angèle.

Her older sister was quite famous in France, so where Vic was born. I was excited when i found out since i've always wanted to learn french and live in Paris, like her.

- Can i borrow your polo? Mine is fucking ruined. - The girl came in my room with a question.

- Sure, it's in the dresser. - I agreed as putting mascara on my eyelashes.

In our University we had to wear some sort of uniform. It wasn't bad. White polo shirt in the summer, and if it was cold we had to wear a jacket on top.

Adding to that women had to wear blue checkered skirts and knee socks. Our shoes were usually black and shiny which i didn't mind.

The guys wore a tie meanwhile us girl had to tie a thin ribbon on our necks. When i was done with my makeup i straightened my hair and prayed that it wouldn't rain, because it would mean my hair getting curly again.

I grabbed my bag and took out my phone, taking a mirror selfie before leaving and meeting with Vic in the hallway where we both put our shoes on.

- Excited? - She asked as slipping her shoe on.

- Very. - I replied with a smile.

We left the apartment and made our way down the stairs. I went on my phone for a few seconds to text Jobe. I promised to send him a picture once i'm ready to leave.

I hit send and hid my phone in my bag. Victoria eyed me for a few second before taking me by my arm and walking towards the school's building.

- Is it the footy player? - She asked with a visible smirk.

- Give it a rest! You know it's nothing serious. - I replied with a groan.

- Maybe for you. He's locked in on you babes. - The blonde replied with a french accent making me roll my eyes.

Vic's known about Jobe and I. We talked so much for those past few days that i felt as if we had been friends for years instead of half a week.

There were no secrets between us. I knew her story and she knew mine. She even knew about the truth about Jobe and I. That i've known him as a child and that he didn't remember me.

When we got to the auditorium, we walked up the stairs and sat halfway up to get the best view on everything and everyone.

- I can't wait to see our teacher. What if he's a hot divorced man with two children? - Vic excited making me laugh.

- I can't believe what i'm heard. - I replied in disbelief but still smiling.

When people started joining us I realised that here in Madrid i really only had Victoria. She was the only person i knew on the entire campus and uni.

- Alright everyone, please settle down. We will start in a minute. - We heard a mature voice speaking to us.

Vic and i looked into the direction and saw a man. He was probably in his fourties' at the time. The blonde gave me a dirty look as her words just came true.

- Unbelievable. - I bit my lip and shook my head with a faint smile, then taking out my macbook.

Victoria shrugged and took out an iPad on which she then opened a dedicated to taking notes app and waited for the teacher to start the lesson.

After nearly three hours we were finally done. It was around 1 pm now so lunch time. We didn't have another class until 3 so we decided to go out and eat in a restaurant.

We were walking down the street when someone joined in and tapped on my shoulder. I looked to the side and saw Jude. I smiled and hugged the guy immediately.

- Long time no see! What are you doing here, at this time? - I asked as pulling away.

Victoria stood next to me with shock on her face. It's like she froze the second Jude showed up. I poked her side to get her out of a trance.

- Out with some friends actually. We were going to have lunch. Do you wanna join? - He asked as ending his explanation.

- Sure! This is Victoria by the way. - I introduced after agreeing for the lunch proposal.

- Yeah i know. - He replied with a nod and smiled at the both of us.

I furrowed my eyebrows and glanced at my friend. She shrugged slowly in response. We were so going to have a talk about this later.

Seconds later we joined Jude's group of friends. I was introduced to Vini, Aurelien and Eduardo. They all seemed very nice so i didn't complain ever for a second.

I also spotted a familiar face. Toby, Jude's best friend, was also in Madrid. The only one who was missing was Jobe, but i wasn't going to bring him up.

We sat at a restaurant nearby the city center and begun talking about various of things. Jude asked if i like it in Madrid and how's school so far.

- Everyone is here but Jobe. - I finally brought it up in a whisper to Victoria with a small awkward laugh following.

- Oh no, he's here. Just busy. - Jude overheard my words and replied to them.

I glared at my blonde friend quickly and then back at Jude. He was here? In Madrid? And didn't tell me? I quickly got my phone out and glanced at my phone.

No texts. No calls. No nothing.

- Here, where? - I inquired, trying to get as much information as i could.

- Not in Madrid. Barcelona. He's in Spain just not in the city. - He responded bluntly like it was nothing.

Why would he be in Barcelona? Nothing made sense anymore. Was he hiding something? Did i do something wrong? What was this all about.
