"Ow, fucking hell!!" complains Leo for like the fifth time already.

We're doing defensive formations at lacrosse practice right now, and I'm paired with Leo, so I'm enjoying it.

"Edmund, Leo is not a punching bag, but a human. If you have any frustration, take it out in bed with Hedwig, but not on my court!!" did professor Adair have to shout this in front of the entire lacrosse team? Yes, he had to.

"Do you have to scream like a little kid, Leo?"

"Do you have to be so gay?"

"Mr. Hayes, I want to change players." I really can't handle it with Leonard anymore. He's probably feeling the same way.

"If you have such an urge to be a big guy, try the formations with Nico, he won't go easy on you."

If I knew who Nico was, I would gladly go to him.

"At the end of the field, Eddie!" Mr. Adair yelled at me mockingly as I walked away from Leo.

As I walked to the end of the field, the cold autumn breeze got under my gear. Fortunately, tomorrow we are going to Aqueus for the adaption camp, I can't stand this weather. Fallen leaves everywhere, cold wind and it's raining all the time. Everything is depressing.

When I finally reach the supposed Nico, I don't even get a warning and he immediately runs towards me. I'm not going to lie, he looked scary, the others are probably afraid of him. I'm definitely not. I successfully blocked him.

But when I fell to the ground after five seconds with no air in my lungs, I felt sorry for my ego.

"The defense comes from both sides, André. Next time, look behind you."

After a few seconds of gasping for breath, oxygen went back into my lungs. I quickly stood up. But Nico was already turned around and heading back to the coaches.

It wouldn't be me if I didn't catch up with him and have the last word.

"Your two-way defense is nice, but your face won't be in a second."

I looked into his icy blue eyes and slowly took off my helmet.

"Threaten someone else. With your breath knocked out, you should go sit down, and not try to be a big guy here." and with that, he turned around and left me standing there.

Fire began to spread on my palms through my gloves. I was angry. If I hadn't learned to control the fire in our lessons, it would have burned down here.

Inhale, exhale.

I spent the way to the locker room thinking about Hedwig.

"And didn't he pierce your lung when he knocked your breath out? I don't really understand anatomy, but I could look at it for you just in case."

"And what are you going to look at my lung with? A magnifying glass? He just knocked my breath out, I'll survive."

Leo asks me the same questions all the way to the dorms. Thea, take him and save me, please.

"Ben? Is that you?"

If I turn in the same direction as Leo and see Benedict, I'm done.

"Leo, Ed? You still look the same as last year," he laughed with his billionaire laugh. He looks like Prince Charming. Nobody cares about his shitty talks here.

"And you look worse than you did last year." I'm not in the mood for him.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, it's nice to see you too. Especially you, Edmund. I wanted to ask you so many things."
