I survived the first week of school. It was very difficult, I'm not going to lie. The first classes of magic and potions were a mess.

In magic, we only did the basics so far, but the problem was that I didn't have any basics, because I've only known that I could do stuff like this for only two months. There was no time to explore whether I could control anything. I was so lost.

And of course, I embarassed myself.

Thanks to Kai, the embarassment wasn't that big, but it was there. But I'm getting to the bottom of it and I can heat up the tea water slightly. But that's where it ends. According to Melbourne, I will need tutoring from someone in the senior year. Just great.

Potions are a very interesting subject, but the teacher is terrible. He was very familiar and when I found out that he was the one who stared at me during the placement ceremony, I probably didn't make a good first impression. Otherwise, I can't explain the constant calling me out. An unsympathetic old man. Ew.

I have to survive with him somehow.

"And that's why the people of Tempus have an easier life. Thanks to the revolution, we are all on the same level." I was struck by the strong voice of Mr. Adair, our history and politics teacher, who was in our class at the beginning of the year with the sport catalogues.

Imagine Ken in your head and you have Mr. Adair. Blonde hair and a selection of amazing outfits. He is the icon of  school.

Of course, together with Kai, who is a volleyball mastermind, I chose volleyball. Since I played it in elementary school, I will continue here. That's also why we're going to play beach with the boys on the volley court by the dormitories today. It will be fun.

I start listening to Ken again.

But his voice was louder than it had been for the rest of the class, and his head was aimed at the last desk by the door. Most of my classmates were already facing in the direction, so I reluctantly joined them.

In the last desk by the door sat André with his beloved Hedwig. When I saw him walk into our classroom last week, I thought I was gonna jump out of the window. Now I have to put up with both of them.

They ignored Mr. Adair and his attention, which was directed at them, and talked with their faces not even five millimeters apart from eachother.

"When Cook and André have finished licking each other's faces, you can all go get your atlases and look at the old maps, okie dokie?" I don't want to look at them, so I get up and tell Kai I will bring him an atlas aswell.

I try to tear through the crowd, but I end up next to the redhead Jacob. "I'll take you an atlas, can I?"

"Yeah, sure, will you hand me two, please?" Ri will like that. He is a gentleman.

Just as Jacob was turning back at me with the books in his hand, André snatched them from his hand. Why does he have to cause problems all the time?

"Are you kidding? Give them back to me." If they bark at each other here, I'd better take the atlases myself.

"I'll think about it... No." Edmund said without emotion, turning to walk back to his desk. Jacob grabbed him by the shirt and jerked him backwards. With that, André threw the atlases on the ground, grabbed Jacob hard by the collar and whispered something to him that I couldn't decipher.

I'll grab the atlases myself. I don't want to be beaten up.

"Hey hey hey, what are you doing? I don't have the nerves for you right now. Go to the Headmaster's office." it's finally calm - "Dovell, go with them, otherwise they'll kill each other and get Kai-To's notes later." WHY ME??
