Riya : Good morning, Ma'am !
Riya said and her voice is polite but with a sense of familiarity that had come with years of working together.
Riya : There's a meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. with the creative team for the new campaign launch. I've also placed the latest client reports on your desk.
Yamini nodded by acknowledging Riya's report, but her gaze briefly flickered to the pile of papers on the desk.
Yamini : Has the final draft for the Zeta campaign been approved yet ?
she asked and her tone is businesslike but with a quiet edge that suggested the importance of the matter. Afterall she is the youngest and most happening businesswoman in terms of advertising and marketing.
Riya flipped open her tablet and skimmed through a few documents.
Riya : Yes, it's been signed off. We're good to go for the presentation later this week. The team is finalizing some last-minute changes, but everything looks solid.
Yamini : Good !
Yamini said and her eyes are narrowing in concentration.
Yamini : Make sure they're on track. I don't want any last-minute surprises, especially after the issues we had last time.
Riya : Understood, Ma'am !
Riya replied by jotting a quick note on her tablet.
Riya : I'll check in with them right away.
Yamini sat back in her chair and her gaze is wandering to the window that framed the city beyond. The office tower was located in the heart of the commercial district, and the view was a blend of modern glass structures, busy streets, and endless possibilities. She had built this career from the ground up, and while the responsibility weighed on her every day, there was a sense of accomplishment in knowing she was at the top of her game.
Still, it wasn't always easy. There were days when the relentless grind left her questioning her choices. The long hours. The endless demands. But then she'd remind herself of the reasons she had pushed so hard to get here: the thrill of creating something from nothing, the challenge of turning a client's vague ideas into a compelling campaign, the feeling of victory when a campaign went viral, when her strategies hit their mark.
Yamini was a woman who didn't have the luxury of hesitation. In the world of advertising, it was sink or swim. She had learned long ago to trust her instincts and trust her team, two elements that had gotten her this far. The job was demanding, but it was also her passion.
Yamini : Anything else, Riya ?
Yamini asked by already turning her attention back to the digital documents on her screen.
Riya : Just a few client calls after the meeting. I've also scheduled some time for you to review the quarterly financials at 2 p.m. Should I confirm with the Zeta team for 10 a.m. ?
Yamini didn't even look up as she answered.
Yamini : Yes, confirm it. Let them know I expect the creative mock-ups for the new ad series. I'll want to go over them personally.
Riya nodded and stepped out of the room, closing the door quietly behind her.
Yamini sat back for a moment, her fingers pausing over the keyboard as she glanced over the agenda for the day. 'It's a full plate' she thought. 'But it's always a full plate.'
Her phone buzzed on the desk. A message from the finance department,
Urgent—possible delays with the marketing budget transfer for Zeta.
Yamini's brow furrowed as she read the message. Delays ? Not good. She grabbed her phone and immediately dialed the number. 'There's always something, isn't there ?' she thought as the phone rang.
................
As the hours ticked by, Yamini's office was slowly beginning to quiet down. The buzz of phone calls and chatter was replaced by the soft clicking of keyboards and the rustling of papers as employees wrapped up their tasks for the day. Yamini's own day was far from over, but the evening was steadily creeping in, and she had a few calls and meetings left to get through before she could escape the weight of her responsibilities for a few hours.
She picked up the phone again, this time dialing the HR department.
Aarti : Good evening, Yamini Ma'am !
Here came the warm, familiar voice of Aarti, the HR manager.
Aarti : How can I help you ?
Yamini tapped her pen lightly against the desk, her gaze scanning a list of pending tasks.
Yamini : Aarti, have we started the recruitment process for the new employees yet ?
she asked. The company had recently expanded its client base, and it was clear that a few new hires were needed to meet the increasing workload.
Aarti : We've started reviewing applicants, Ma'am.
Aarti replied promptly.
Aarti : I'm conducting interviews tomorrow, starting at 10 a.m. I've shortlisted a few candidates with the right experience.
Yamini nodded, her fingers brushing over the corner of her laptop.
Yamini : Good. Let me know once you've finalized the list of shortlisted candidates. I'll want to be involved in the final round of interviews. We need to ensure we bring in the right people for the team.
Aarti : Of course, Ma'am.
Aarti replied.
Aarti : I'll send you the details tomorrow.
Yamini hung up, her mind already drifting toward the evening ahead. A few more things to check off, and then she could finally take a breather.
The office lights flickered as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a soft amber glow through the glass windows. Yamini packed up her things, placing her phone in her bag and switching off her laptop. She slipped into her coat and made her way out of the office, the cool evening air greeting her as she stepped into the elevator.
---
An hour later, Yamini was back at her apartment, relaxing for the first time that day. She slipped out of her formal clothes and into something more comfortable—a black dress she had been meaning to wear for some time. It was simple but chic, the kind of dress that made her feel confident without being too flashy.
As she was finishing up, her phone buzzed on the counter. She glanced at the screen, her lips curling into a smile when she saw the name.
"Naina."
Without hesitation, she answered, pressing the phone to her ear.
Naina : Yamini ! Are you ready for tonight ?
Naina's voice was already full of excitement.
..............
A look into her life !
When he is going to meet her ?
