Yamini closed the door behind her, her heart is racing with excitement. The kiss, the moment, the way he had pulled her toward him, it felt surreal, almost like a dream she wasn't ready to wake up from. She couldn't stop smiling. She stood there for a few moments, her hand resting on the door as if trying to hold onto the magic of what had just happened.
'This is real', she thought, grinning like a kid who had just gotten the best gift ever.
Her heart felt light, almost like it was floating. It wasn't just the thrill of the kiss , It was the realisation that, after all the months of working, of moving from one task to the next without pause, she had found something... someone who made her feel alive again in a way she hadn't expected. Rudransh was more than just a colleague, more than just the brilliant mind behind so many ideas. More than just the guy she kissed in pub that day. He was someone who had quietly become the center of her world.
With a giddy heart, Yamini slipped into bed, her mind replaying the kiss, the way his lips had brushed against hers with so much tenderness. She fell asleep, the smile still on her face, and for the first time in a long while, it was easy to sleep peacefully.
..............
The morning came too quickly. Yamini woke up early, the light filtering through the curtains, the city still quiet beneath her window. She felt a rush of excitement the moment her eyes fluttered open 'today was their day' , their first official date.
She quickly showered and dressed, picking a simple yet elegant outfit. She wore a red dress and a black leather jacket over it , she kept her hair loose, letting it fall in soft waves around her face, just the way Rudransh had complimented her hair the night before. She didn't want to overthink it, she wanted to feel comfortable and happy, knowing that today was about them, not about appearances or expectations.
As she applied a touch of makeup, there was a soft knock at her door. Her heart skipped a beat. She checked herself in the mirror one last time, adjusted her sweater, and then opened the door.
There he was, Rudransh. His dark, tousled hair and relaxed yet perfectly put-together style made him look effortlessly handsome. Today, he was dressed casually in a orange fitted long sleeve t-shirt and paired with dark blue jeans and sneakers. He was the kind of man who could look good in anything, but somehow, he had an understated coolness that made him even more appealing.
Before she could even say anything, Rudransh smiled, a little sheepish but full of warmth.
Rudransh : Good morning !
He said, his voice is low and filled with affection.
Yamini smiled back, her heart swelling. Without a second thought, she stepped forward and pulled him into a tight hug. He seemed a bit surprised at first, but then, to her delight, he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, as if neither of them wanted to let go.
