Yamini watched and her heart is beating a little faster as he finally started walking towards her. There was something magnetic about the way he moved, his stride is confident, his gaze is steady. When he reached her, he didn't say anything right away. He simply stepped into the rhythm of the music and his body is fitting seamlessly into the beat as if he'd been waiting for this moment all night.

Yamini couldn't help but laugh as he moved with a casual ease, his presence filling the space between them. He wasn't dancing like the others around them, wild, carefree, or silly, but with a kind of smooth, effortless rhythm that made it clear he knew exactly how to own the floor.

Yamini : You're not shy, are you ?

She shouted over the music by  teasing him.

He gave her a half-smile, his eyes are glinting with amusement.

Rudransh : Not really !

Yamini arched an eyebrow, stepping closer, spinning in front of him as she danced. The crowd around them seemed to blur out of focus as she became more attuned to the man who stood beside her, moving with her now.

She wasn't sure what it was, something about the way his eyes sparkled with mischief, or the way he moved with such ease, but suddenly, she felt alive in a way she hadn't in a long time. Every move she made was matched by his, and their bodies seemed to fit the rhythm of the song perfectly. They were strangers, absolute strangers, but there was a strange, magnetic pull between them, like the dance was some kind of unspoken conversation.

As the song picked up speed, Yamini found herself laughing again, spinning and twirling, her hands catching his for a moment before she pulled away, throwing herself back into the music.

He followed her, just as effortlessly, just as fluidly. Neither of them spoke, there was no need to. The music was enough.

She caught him glancing at her out of the corner of her eye, his lips curling into a faint smile as he moved closer.

Rudransh : You sure know how to drag someone out of their shell.

He said and his voice is low but clear and is  cutting through the thumping beat of the song.

Yamini raised an eyebrow and  her lips are quirking into a playful smile.

Yamini : You seemed like you needed a little push.

She  teased him.

Yamini : What, are you too good for the dance floor ?

He chuckled, a rich sound that almost made her lose her rhythm.

Rudransh : Not too good. Just... more of an observer.

He raised his hands by showing off a slight shrug.

Rudransh : But I'm not complaining now.

They danced for a few more minutes, caught in the rush of adrenaline, the flashing lights and the loud music. It felt like time had slowed, like the rest of the world didn't exist for just a moment. They were strangers, yes, but in that brief, heady moment, it didn't matter. They shared the rhythm of the night, connected by nothing but the music, the spontaneity, and the wild freedom that came with it.

When the song finally ended, Yamini stopped, breathless, her chest rising and falling with each heavy breath. The man in the black shirt, whose name she didn't even know also slowed, matching her movements with the same cool detachment he had when he first walked onto the dance floor.

Yamini didn't know why, but something inside her tightened. The excitement that had filled her chest moments ago seemed to dissipate, leaving a strange emptiness.

Yamini : Well, that was fun.

She said and  her voice is laced with a hint of something that could be regret, or maybe it was just the alcohol wearing off.

Yamini : But I think I'm going to call it a night.

Rudransh nodded by  offering her a small smile.

Rudransh : Yeah. It was... unexpected.

He said and his tone is more relaxed now.

They stood there for a brief moment, looking at each other. Neither spoke. There was a strange sense of closure in the way they stood, as if their brief encounter had already run its course.

Then, without another word, he turned and walked back towards  his group of friends, leaving Yamini standing there, still catching her breath and trying to wrap her head around what had just happened.

'Who was that guy ?' she wondered, but before she could think too much about it, Naina appeared beside her with a grin on her face.

Naina : What was that about ?

Naina asked with a teasing glint in her eyes.

Naina : You two looked like you were having a good time.

Yamini smiled faintly by shrugging it off.

Yamini : Just a dance with a stranger !

She said even  though there was a little more mystery in her voice than she intended.

Yamini : Nothing special.

Priya came there with a teasing smirk on her face.

Priya : Really ? He is too hot yaar.

Yamini rolled her eyes.

But as she turned back toward the bar, the image of the man in the black shirt, his smile, his eyes lingered in her mind. She found him laughing by listening to his friend's words.
