Yamini : It's about reconnecting, reliving the best parts of life, and enjoying the simple pleasures we often forget about in the rush of adulthood. Ice cream, after all, is the perfect vehicle for that nostalgia. These are going to be our motto lines.
As she finished explaining the concept, she took a breath and looked up at the room, scanning the faces of the team.
Everyone was silent for a moment, but then Daksh broke the quiet, his lips curling into a grin.
Daksh : I love it.
He said by nodding in approval.
Daksh : It's playful, heartfelt, and definitely different from what we've seen in the market. It's the kind of campaign that sticks with you.
The rest of the team seemed to agree, their expressions approving as they murmured their thoughts.
But through it all, Yamini's gaze kept returning to Rudransh. He had an unreadable expression on his face, his arms still crossed, his posture relaxed, but his eyes never left her. For some reason, it was as if the approval of everyone else didn't matter as much as what 'he' thought.
Was he impressed ? Was he buying into the concept ?
She felt her nerves creep back in as the minutes dragged on, her focus wavering under his intense gaze. He didn't give anything away. But then, finally, as she wrapped up her pitch, Rudransh unfolded his arms and pushed off the wall, stepping forward into the conversation.
Rudransh : I have to say.
He began, his voice is smooth and confident, with that slight edge of humour that always seemed to follow him.
Rudransh : This is the kind of campaign I can get behind. It's fresh, it's fun, and it feels like it could really stand out. But, Yamini.
He added by tilting his head just a little,
Rudransh : what makes you so sure that people will connect with this concept ? I mean, we're all talking about 'nostalgia,' but... people tend to move on quickly, don't they ?
Yamini felt a slight tension in her chest, but she forced herself to meet his gaze, not flinching. There it was, the challenge she was waiting for. Much to her dismay it's from the man on whom she is crushing.
Yamini : That's a fair question.
She replied and her voice is steady.
Yamini : But I think nostalgia isn't just about looking back, it's about rediscovering what's been missing. It's that instant joy, that simple pleasure that people crave. And right now, I think people need a reason to smile. A reason to remember the good times.
There was a brief silence as Rudransh's eyes met hers, and for a moment, the room seemed to fade away. Then, he nodded, his lips curving into a small, approving smile.
Rudransh : Alright, Yamini.
He said, the corner of his mouth twitching upward.
Rudransh : You've got me convinced. I think we're onto something here.
Yamini let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding, her body relaxing just a fraction. 'Victory.'
The rest of the team agreed, nodding in approval and discussing next steps. But through it all, Yamini could still feel Rudransh's presence in the room. His approval, his gaze, it lingered.
As the meeting concluded and the team began to file out of the room, Yamini packed up her things, trying to compose herself, but her thoughts were still racing. She couldn't help but notice how 'hot' Rudransh looked in that white shirt. His presence had been electric, a distraction, and she couldn't quite shake the pull of it.
She smiled to herself as she left the room.
Yamini to herself : Well, this is going to be an interesting partnership...
.............
Yamini had just wrapped up the financial and logistical aspects with Daksh, finalizing the numbers and getting everything in place for the campaign's roll-out. She had been efficient, but also careful, knowing how important this step was in securing their partnership with 'Yummy Bites'. The deal was almost done, and everything seemed to be on track.
Yamini : Looks good, Daksh.
She said by tucking her laptop into her bag as she stood up.
Yamini : I'll send over the final paperwork tomorrow, and we can begin drafting the timeline.
Daksh smiled at her and is clearly impressed.
Daksh : You've done a great job, Yamini. I'm looking forward to seeing this campaign unfold.
Yamini : Thanks.
She replied by giving him a brief smile.
Yamini : Let's make sure we get the execution just as spot on as the concept.
She gathered her things, ready to head out. The day had been long, and she was eager to return to the office, finish up some work, and finally get a few hours of sleep. But as she reached for the door, she heard a familiar voice behind her.
Rudransh : Yamini !
Rudransh's voice cut through the air, smooth and steady, and she turned around.
He was standing in the doorway, his frame casually leaning against the doorframe, a soft smile playing on his lips. He looked even better now than he did earlier, his white shirt perfectly crisp and his dark hair tousled just the right amount. There was an intensity in his gaze, one that seemed to focus entirely on her, and for a split second, she forgot about everything else in the room.
Rudransh : I just wanted to say.
Rudransh began by pushing off the doorframe and stepping into the room.
Rudransh : that presentation was impressive. Your advertising skills are top-notch. I could see the passion you put into it. Really solid work, Yamini.
..............
How's the chapter ?
Rudransh loved it but was late in understanding her concept.
