Clarke Of The Grounders

Part 24 - Hunting Party

Clarke POV

I got people together from the ark and the 100. "We need to hunt for food for the winter. Partner up and never separate from that person. One person may have a gun and the other may take a blade." I say and four people wanted to be with me. "I'm partnering with Octavia." I say and she smiles at me. We head out and Octavia turns to me.

"So how does it feel being the first one picked?" She asks laughing. I just shake my head. Octavia had a gun and I, of course, had my sword. "Are you sure you don't want my gun?" She asks me. I just look at her and raise an eyebrow.

"I think I'll be fine." I say twirling my sword and showing off my handling skills as we laugh.

With every step, Octavia steps on a twig and it snaps. "Could you be any louder?" I ask her.

"Sorry I wasn't trained to walk silently in the woods." She says a little annoyed. I stop and turn around.

"Sorry O, it's just easier to track when it's quiet. Just try to step where I step so we can get some meat and get out of here." I tell her as I turn around, but she puts a hand on my shoulder to stop me.

"Is everything ok? You seem a little on edge." She asks me and I sigh.

"When I was with Lexa, I just felt like someone was following us, and someone left a mark on... Near where we were." I tell her and she nods.

Octavia POV

We were walking for about five minutes after Clarke told me why she was on edge. It felt weird, then I heard a snap of a twig behind me. I spin around and I get hit in the head before being grabbed by two guys. Three other guys ran towards Clarke and I call out to her. She turns around to get hit on the head. She got up quickly and got loose from the two guys' grip. She grabbed her dagger and started swinging. She slashed one guy across the left cheek and the other two pointed their guns at her. She puts her hands up and sighed just before the guy she cut knocked her out with the butt of his gun.

We are being pushed through the woods, but I couldn't tell where we were. They blindfolded Clarke and me, but she was unconscious. I heard whispers and we were thrown down on the ground. I then felt cold metal around my ankles and heard a door close. I took off my blindfold and saw Clarke laying on the floor. "Clarke?" I say trying to wake her up. I move closer to her, my chains just reaching, and shake her until she groans. "Clarke, Are you ok?" I ask and she slowly opens her eyes.

"Yeah, my head just hurts. Where are we?" She asks noticing the chain around our ankles.

"I don't know. They blindfolded us. I took yours off." I tell her because she looked confused. Just as I was going to ask a question I heard talking outside the door.

"O, move back. No matter what happens, DON'T say anything to them." Clarke tells me and I nod as I move back towards the wall just as two men walked in. They walked to the far wall and stood tall. Clarke and I looked at the door as another man walked in with a fresh cut on his left cheek. I look at Clarke and a slight smile grew on her face. The man notices and smacks her, turning her previous smile to a face filled with anger.

"Which one of you is the leader?" The man asked and I looked at Clarke. She shook her head and I looked at the ground. "Well if you won't tell me willingly, I'll have to force you to tell me." The man said looking from me to Clarke.

Back at the ark

Abby POV

It has been two hours and everyone, but Octavia and Clarke are back. Bellamy and I are looking everywhere for them, but they just aren't here. "Bellamy, where would they be?" I ask him.

"I don't know. We should ask Lexa." He starts to say.

"No, we can do this without any Grounders." I say. Bellamy's expression changes.

"You still don't get it do you?" He asked me. "Clarke is a Grounder. Have you even looked at her? She knows more than all of us, and if you didn't notice, her and Lexa are close. I picked up on it and accepted it. Now you need to." He says and I know he is right. I nod and leave to find Kane.

"Hey, Abby." He says.

"I need you to look over the people. Bellamy, Raven, and I are going to The Commanders. We can't find Clarke or Octavia." I tell him and he nods.
