Part 33 - Again

Clarke POV

I wake up with a throbbing head. I open my eyes and recognize; I am in the mountain. I look over to see Lexa, Octavia, Lincoln, and one other warrior laying on the floor unconscious. I try to move towards Lexa, but I was chained to the wall. Why was I the only one chained to the wall? I asked myself but right now all I cared about is Lexa. "Lexa, wake up." I half-whisper half yell. She doesn't move. I try again and her eyes flutter open. She sits up and moves towards me, hugging me but when I don't wrap my arms around her, she lets go. She looks hurt but then looks at my arms.

"Why are you chained to the wall but not us?" She asks but I just shake my head

"I don't know." I say in an almost broken voice.

"Hey, it's okay. We will get out of here. I won't let them hurt you again." She says and I smile at her.

"Let's get these off you." She says but I just shake my head.

"Make sure everyone else is okay first." I tell her and she turns around.

Lexa POV

I reach Lincoln first and wake him. He opens his eyes and the first thing he said was, "Octavia, Where's Octavia?"

"Lincoln she's right behind you." I tell him and as he wakes her up while I wake up my other warrior. "Nathaniel, wake up." I say and he opens his eyes.

"Heda?" He says standing up checking if I was harmed.

"Nathaniel I'm fine." I say looking over to Clarke at the wall. Octavia and Lincoln are by her probably asking why she is the only one chained up.

I walk over with Nathaniel "Okay, Let's get Clarke out of these." I say and we all grab the chains.

"Ready, Three, Two, One." Lincoln counts down and we all pull. We hear Clarke scream

"Stop, Stop!" We all let go worried we hurt her.

"What happened?" Octavia asked. Clarke caught her breath and looked at me.

"It electrocuted me." She says and I automatically knelt beside her as she looks worried. I grab her hand, and that's enough to calm her down.

I look around to see everyone in shock. Nobody knows what's going on. I feel Clarkes grip tighten and she lets out a small squeal. "What's happening?" Octavia asks scared. I just shake my head and sit beside Clarke as her grip loosens. She is breathing deeply, and her eyes are closed.

"Clarke, I don't know what to do." I say tears threatening to escape from my eyes. She opens her eyes and looks at the top corner of the room.

"Why me?" She asks still looking at the corner. A loud beep filled the room followed by a calm voice I recognize as Cage. I think Clarke said this is some kind of speaker thing.

"Because Clarke, there is something special about you. You are keeping a secret from everyone, And I will find it out." He says before we hear a click and Clarke scream.

Octavia POV

Clarke stops screaming but she isn't moving. Lexa notices too and gently shakes Clarke saying "Clarke? Clarke, come on." I rush towards my best friend and quickly try to find a pulse. As soon as I find one, I sigh and nod at Lexa. She now has tear stains on her cheek.

"She just passed out from the pain." I told her and we all back up to give Lexa and Clarke some space.

Nathaniel POV (Grounder)

I look over to The Commander sitting next to Clarke and I can tell she will do anything for her. I have never seen The Commander so weak. I then look at Lincoln and Octavia, they are sitting with their arms around each other. I can see Octavia is scared for Clarke and doesn't know what to do. I look back at the Commander knowing she is saving her water for Clarke, but she needs to keep her strength up. I walk over to her and hand her the rest of my water. "You need strength. I know you are saving your water for Clarke, but you need some too." I tell her and she nods her head. As soon as she hands me back my jug, we hear Clarke stir.
