Part 26 - Tracking

Lexa POV

We were walking through the woods for what felt like three hours. We found nothing until I came along a snapped branch with blood on it. My tracking instincts kicked in and I started following the trail. My warriors also picked up on it and follow me. We followed the blood trail and footprints to the cabin Clarke and I were at. "Spread out and look for anything suspicious." I tell my warriors. Abby, Bellamy, Raven, and I went inside.

"There are plates out and blankets on the floor. Someone was here." Bellamy said. I just shake my head at him.

"What is it Commander?" Raven asked.

"I was here," I said turning to face them. "With Clarke."

Everyone just looks at me. Finally, Bellamy speaks. "But Octavia said you two were discussing winter plans." I look at Abby and she looks shocked.

"Actually, that would explain a lot." Abby said and everyone turned to face her. "Clarkes' behavior when you got back. Whenever you were around each other." She said and everyone stepped away from the blankets.

"heda osir found mo tracks." (Commander we found more tracks.) One of my warriors says just in time and we all go outside and start to follow the tracks.

Clarke POV

I pull on the restraints again and turn back to Cage. "What do you want?" I ask him in a stern voice. He just laughs and walks to the other side of me.

"I want payback for what you did to one of my men."

"I didn't do anything to your people." I say and his facial expression changes.

"Now that is a lie, and I am proof of part of that lie." He says pointing at his face. I smile and look him in the eyes.

"Well you just pissed me off, and you are the one who attacked me." I say and he smacks me across the face. I can see Octavia looking for a way in but turns to face me and shakes her head. I sigh and look back at Cage.

Abby POV

We reach a huge door in the side of a mountain. "Mountain Men." I heard The Commander mumble. "Raven, do you have those communication devices?" She asks her.

"Yeah, I got three of them." Raven answers.

"Show me how it works." Raven showed her and Lincoln. "You need to go back to your camp, but we will keep you updated." Lexa said turning around.

"What, no way in hell." Raven protested.

"Raven you have a bum leg and that will only show us down." She said and I agreed.

"Raven, please." I say turning to her. She rolls her eyes and hesitantly agrees. Lexa then orders one of her warriors to go with her.

As they leave, we all turn to the entrance. It is slightly open. "I have a bad feeling about this." I say, "What if it's a trap?"

"Trap or not, Clarke and Octavia are in there." She says ordering her men to open the door. She tells two of her warriors to stand guard at the door. She then takes out her blade and we enter. We walk through the mountain wondrously. The walls were white and there were hundreds of halls.

"This will take forever. Let's just split up." Lincoln says.

I nodded my head. "search the maun. pas fai minutes head back kom the entrance." (Search the mountain. After five minutes head back to the entrance.) Lexa says to her men. "Abby, Bellamy, Lincoln, you are with me." We all nod and follow her. As we start walking, we hear screams.

"Clarke." Lexa and I say at the same time. We run towards the scream and soon come to a door.

Octavia POV

Cage takes a knife out and cut Clarke. Then, out of nowhere, he stabs her in the leg making her scream. Soon after I hear someone behind the door. It slowly starts to open, and I see Lexa, Abby, Bellamy, and Lincoln enter. Lincoln and I rush to each other and hug one another. We let go and Bellamy and I hug. A smile grows on my face but soon fades as I turn to Clarke. She doesn't know they are in here, and her head is the other way. Lexa starts calling out Clarke's name and banging on the window. I see tears in her eyes and know how she feels.

Clarke POV

I scream as the blade gets deeper and deeper in my right thigh. He leaves the blade in my leg and leans down to my ear. "Soon you will tell the truth." He says and leaves the room. I'm breathing heavily and turn my head away from Octavia, not wanting her to see this. The next thing I hear is someone calling my name and banging in the window. It sounds like, no it can't be. I turn my head to see Lexa, and behind her is my mom, Bellamy, and Lincoln holding Octavia. A slight smile appears on my face as Lexa and I make eye contact.

I can see tears running down her face and for a second, I forget about the pain in my leg, just wanting to hug her. Then I hear the door open again. I look to see Cage standing there. "Well, this just makes it so much better. Now they can hear what you did." He said looking at Lexa and my mom. He comes close to me.

"I told you I didn't do anything." He takes out a smaller knife and presses it lightly against my cheek.

"Are you sure about that?" He says and I just look him in the eye. "Well then, we can have matching scars then." He says cutting my left cheek. I didn't scream but a small squeal came from my lips.

"Maybe his name will make you remember. His name was Jeff." He said and I instantly knew what he was talking about. My facial expression changed, and he smiled. "Yeah, you know exactly what you did to him." He said putting his hand on my face turning my head towards everyone through the mirror. I tried avoiding eye contact, but he forced me to look into Lexa's eyes.

Lexa POV

"His name was Jeff" The man says, and I see Clarkes facial expression change. What did she do? He forced her to look at me and I saw a tear escape from her eye.
