Part 35 - Shocking

Lexa POV

The first night Clarke didn't sleep, and neither did I. I heard her try to pull the chains, but she was scared to get shocked again. I was lying near her, but she didn't know I was awake. "How are we going to get out of here?" Nathaniel asked looking for a way out.

"We can't." Clarke says in a tired voice. "Believe me, I've been stuck here Before." She says and my warrior stopped looking.

I move closer to Clarke and sit by her. "Are you okay?" I ask her. She looks at me and sighs. I can see in her eyes she is scared. I opened my mouth to speak but a beeping noise fills the room again and I feel Clarke tense up.

"How is my special Clarke doing today?" Cage asks over the speaker.

"Trying to figure out what else you think I'm hiding." She says looking at the corner of the room.

We hear a buzzing noise and Clarke groans. "Don't lie, you know exactly what your hiding." He says and Clarke lets out a little whimper again.

"Stop hurting her!" I yell and look where Clarke was previously looking.

"Now why would I do that? Sooner or later she will tell the truth, Plus, it hurts her, and you." He says as we hear a click followed by more buzzing and Clarkes echoed screams.

Octavia POV

I can't stand hearing Clarke scream anymore. Lexa is next to her squeezing her hand and trying to get her through each shock, but it's not doing much. Soon they stopped and Clarke was left breathing heavily twitching every now and then. "Clarke, just tell him. We won't judge you. We all just want this to stop." Lexa says to Clarke and she shakes her head.

"I don't even know what he's talking about. I'm not hiding anything. The only thing I was hiding was Killing Jeff." She says and looks me in the eyes.

"She's telling the truth." I say and everyone looks at me.

"How do you know that?" Lincoln asked her.

"We were best friends on the Ark, and she could never keep a secret from me. I always knew when she was lying. Right now, she's not." I tell them and I move towards Clarke and before I could reach her, I hear a bang. I turn around to see a door we didn't know was there fly open. Six guys with guns came in and shot everyone but Clarke and Lexa with a paralyzed dart.

As I fall to the floor, I see Lincoln and Nathaniel fall, and four guards grab Lexa. "Noooo!" Clarke screams and pulls on the chains. She gets shocked and let's go. "Stop! I'm not hiding anything else! Just let her go!" Clarke yells standing up and Cage enters the room.

Clarke POV

Cage comes into the room and laughs. "Why? You may be able to lie to them, but I know what will get you to tell them." He says looking at Lexa.

"Them? So, you know?" I ask him confused. I look at the other Mountain Men and I can tell they are confused. I look back at Cage and he smiles.

"You know on the inside. You are just denying it on the outside." He says and takes a small blade out of his pocket and points it at Lexa.

Lexa sees this and squirms in the Mountain Mensa grip. She manages to break free and I sigh, but I know she can't fight all of them on her own. She puts up a good fight and knocks one out, but they grab her again, pinning her up against the wall. Cage gets closer and presses the blade to Lexa cheek whispering something I can't hear.

As I see blood dripping from her right cheek, I lose it. I scream and pull as hard as I could on my chains. It shocks me and I fall to my knees breathing deep staring at the floor.

"Clarke, it's okay, don't hurt yourself." I hear Lexa say but it sounds muffled. I grind my teeth together and wrap the chains around my hand. I look up at Cage with so much hate. I pull on the chains as hard as I can, trying to ignore the shocking pain rushing through my body like I'm getting hit by lightning. In a way, I feel the pain makes me stronger.

I start to scream and yank the chains one more time. All I hear, Is a loud SNAP!
