Clarke POV

I woke up and for the first time in a long time, I had peace in my dreams, not a horrible nightmare. I look over to Lexa and she has a smile on her face. We kiss and then I remember last night. "So, when are we going to take out the mountain men?" I ask and she sits up.

"We can get ready right now." I smile at her and we get dressed.

Octavia POV

"Hey, she looks good." Lincoln says looking towards Clarke.

"Yeah, Lexa said she finally opened up." I tell him and he kisses my head. I notice a couple of warriors at the gate with Lexa. "What are they doing?" I ask Lincoln and we head over to see.

"Commander, where are you going?" Lincoln asks as I see Clarke walk up behind Lexa grabbing her hand. She nods at me and I nod back.

"We are going to find the last of the Mountain Men." Clarke says eagerly. Lincoln and I look at each other.

"With only five warriors?" We both ask.

"Counting us it's seven, and there are only five left." Clarke says and I was a little shocked.

"Let us come with." I ask and The Commander just looks at Clarke. Clarke smiles and nods her head. We all pack up and left camp immediately. I could tell Clarke was eager to get to Cage. We were walking for about fifteen minutes and saw nothing. All of a sudden, we hear a gunshot and a warrior goes down. Then another loud bang and another fallen body.

"teik cover osir laik ona attack!" (Take cover we are under attack!) Lexa yells and we all duck under rocks and behind trees.

Clarke is ahead of me hiding behind a tree. She put her sword away and pulled out her gun. She started shooting and one guy goes down. I pulled my gun out and started shooting with her. Lexa and the other grounders are looking at us with amazement. I guess they've never seen us shoot before. Clarke and I soon run out of ammo and all is quiet. She looks at me and her eyes go wide.

"Octavia, Watch out!" She yells and something hard hits me on the head. I fall to the ground and hear Lincoln scream, then the man screams. He helps me up and I shake it off. I look up to see everyone fighting. Lexa and Clarke are fighting back to back while the others hold the rest off.

Lexa POV

"I can't find cage." Clarke says from behind me. I look around and notice him running over a hill.

"Found him." I say and start to walk towards him.

"No, he's mine!" Clarke yells and bolts toward him. I follow her and as soon as the others are dead, my warriors do the same. Cage turns around and aims his gun at my head, stopping me in my tracks. The next thing I see is a dagger in his arm and the gun falling to the ground. I look over to see Clarke running towards him.

Clarke POV

I run at Cage and knock him to the ground. He grunts but then stares at me. "But how? I stuck a knife in your chest." He says and I smile. I bend down and take the knife from his arm. He screams and I laugh.

"You did a lot more than that to me, Cage." I tell him and see a scar on his cheek, then he starts laughing.

"You think you won, don't you?" he asks, and I stand up. I can feel Lexa standing next to me.

"The soldiers you had left are all dead." Lexa says and his smile grows.

"Not all." He says and we see red smoke surround us.

"Don't breathe it in!" I yell, but it's too late, everyone is collapsing to the ground. Lexa falls to the ground and I kneel next to her. I feel nothing. No dizziness, no nausea, nothing. I look at Cage and he smiles.

"You were right. I did a lot more than stab you." He says. I feel a huge pain in the back of my head, and everything goes black.
