Chapter 9: "The Art of Revising... or Not"

The Reading and Revision Club was supposed to be a peaceful place, where the most studious students could concentrate in peace. At least that was the idea that ISTJ had in mind when settling there, surrounded by its well-organized books and carefully prepared notes.

But, of course, he had underestimated the presence of ESFP, which, as usual, could not remain serious for more than five minutes.

— ISTJ (low voice, concentrated): "If I multiply this equation by…"

Swoosh.

A paper airplane flew gracefully over his head before crashing directly into his notebook. ISTJ looked up slowly, already jaded , and looked at ESFP, sitting in front of him, a mischievous smile on his lips.

— ISTJ: "Do you realize that we are supposed to revise for the control of tomorrow, not do aerial figures, do you?"

— ESFP (with a wink): "Come on, relax a little! It's proven that breaks increase productivity."

Meanwhile, ENFP, INFP, and ENFJ were also seated around the table, but none of them seemed really focused on their books. ENFP scribbled in his notebook, his mind flying miles away.

— ENFP (suddenly): "What if we organized a treasure hunt after the check? To de-stress!"

INFP, plunged into a book of poetry, timidly raised her hand.

— INFP: "I think we should first... You know, get control."

— ENFJ (smiling, but trying to stay serious): "She's right. But a treasure hunt is a nice idea for afterwards! We could even organize it here, in the library."

ISTJ, desperately trying to regain his focus, sighed. He was going to say something to refocus everyone on the study, when ESFP decided to launch another paper plane, this time aiming for ISTJ's header.

— ISTJ (annoyed): "Seriously?"

But before ISTJ could react, ESFP had already drawn an excuse.

— ESFP: "Oh, I have an idea! Why not go out and... um... study... outside! The fresh air, you know, it helps to concentrate better."

ENFP, always leaving to escape, nodded vigorously.

— ENFP: "Yes, the fresh air stimulates the neurons! I read it somewhere."

INFP timidly added:

— INFP: "Hmm, that's not a bad idea... And then, the weather is nice today..."

ENFJ smiled in a corner, visibly amused by the turn of events.

— ENFJ: "I guess a little break won't hurt us. After all, it's important to know when to stop to better leave!"

In an instant, they were all standing, ready to go to the exit, abandoning their books and notebooks on the table. Istj, meanwhile, remained seated, incredulous.

— ISTJ (talking to himself): "And afterwards, they are surprised not to have good notes..."

Just then, Estp passed by, a smirk on his lips, and stopped in front of Istj.

— ESTP (wink): "Hey, tomorrow at the control, don't forget that you are my shepherd!"

ISTJ stared at him, completely overwhelmed.

— ISTJ (jacked): "Your what?"

— ESTP: "You know, the one who guides me... and saves me from getting lost in all these annoying questions."

ISTJ sighed deeply, wondering how he could have gotten there.

— ISTJ (whispering): "I am definitely surrounded by madmen."

ESTP gave him a last wink before spinning, without worrying about the chaos he left behind, while ISTJ reluctantly plunged back into his notes.
