Chapter 6: "INTJ's Complicated Life"
In an orderly little house, everything had its place. The books were aligned in alphabetical order, the socks folded with almost scientific precision, and silence reigned… At least, that’s what Intj hoped. But like every morning, this calm only lasted a few minutes before a cyclone entered his life, a tornado with dark hair, colored clothes and inexhaustible energy: ESFP, his younger sister.
INTJ, seated at his desk, stared at his computer screen, absorbed into a complex modeling of a revolutionary mathematical theory (at least for him). He was about to solve a complicated equation when...
— ESFP (shouting through the house): "Heyyyyy, are you coming to my party tonight?! I invited everyone!"
The screen shook slightly under the impact of his screams, and Intj closed his eyes, mentally counting to ten. He took a deep breath before answering calmly:
- INTJ : "No, I'm not coming. I have... a very important project to complete."
She appeared at the door of her room, leaping with enthusiasm, without knocking, of course. She leaned against the door frame, a dazzling smile on her face.
- ESFP: "Oh come on! You're not going to stay here... Uh... weird calculations?"
INTJ heaved a resigned sigh. He used this conversation. Every day, ESFP seemed unable to understand why he couldn't find joy in chaos and the permanent party.
— INTJ: "These are not weird calculations. It's a simulation to improve the management of resources at the school level... But you wouldn't understand."
She rolled her eyes and walked over to her desk, hopping. Without warning, she grabbed one of her papers and began to read it aloud.
— ESFP (reciting theatrically): "Optimization of… data flows... in an environment of... what? what is this gibberish? You have no more boring?"
— INTJ (annoyed): "Give me that!" He snatched the paper from her hands, trying not to give in to frustration. His sister had a gift to make his life methodical and structured… A real hell.
— ESFP: "You really should learn to relax! Tonight there will be music, games... Oh, and maybe even a confetti battle!"
— INTJ (Sarcastic): "Just the idea already makes me lose neurons."
But before he could finish his sentence, ESFP had already left in a whirlwind of colors, leaving INTJ in his room with a sense of defeat. Later, as he tried to focus again on his work, the sound of the full music from the living room bothered him. He cast a desperate look at the door. Of course, ESFP had already turned the house into a party zone.
— INTJ (whispering): "My life is an organized disaster..."
The most unbearable for INTJ was not only the constant noise or the endless interruptions of his sister. No, the real problem was that despite all his efforts to avoid him, ESFP had a strange skill in dragging him into his chaotic adventures. He found himself, against all logic, in ridiculous situations, like this time when he had found himself disguised as a unicorn at a costume party... But he preferred not to think about it. Suddenly, Intj heard a sound of broken glass followed by ESFP's joyful laughter. He realized that his attempts to ignore the outside world were doomed to failure. He stood up with icy resignation.
— INTJ (to himself): "If I don't control the situation, I'll lose my mind."
And so, he came out of his room to try, as always, to put some order in the chaos that his sister sowed without even realizing it.
