My brother's best friend

Gemini was the youngest of 3 kids. He had an older sister named Mook who was 10 years older than he was. She was married and lived in the States, and Gemini would often visit her during school holidays. He had an older brother named Phuwin, who was 6 years older than him and worked as a computer engineer. Gemini, on the other hand, was 18, almost 19, doing his first year at Uni, the faculty of BaScii.

The cool thing about being the youngest is that his siblings always babies him, which was nice because he never paid for anything while they went out to eat or go shopping. They always bought him the coolest gifts, and they always helped him get out of trouble when their parents started scolding him.

The not nice part about it was when they, more especially his older brother, continued to baby him even in front of his crush.

To give context. Gemini had a big massive crush of Phuwin's best friend. He was 15, almost 16, when he met Phuwin's best friend and was absolutely enamored by him. At first, he couldn't believe that the guy was the same age as his brother because he looked so young with his boyish features and so so pretty.

However, Fourth, that's his older brother's best friend's name treated him like a kid. The same way Phuwin treated him. And Gemini hated it. Fourth was always sweet to him, teased him, and would indulge him by playing video games with him or just talking to Gemini about his interests, but Gemini knew that Fourth still saw him as Phuwin's kid brother.

To Gemini's dismay, Fourth had moved away when Gemini was around 16-17 due to a work opportunity and hasn't seen him since. Phuwin would talk about him in passing and sometimes visit Fourth, but it wasn't like Gemini could tag along. After almost 2 years of not seeing Fourth, Gemini thought he was over the little crush, but he was wrong, and he found out about it the worst way possible.

Gemini was waiting for Phuwin to pick him up from his dormitory. He had promised to buy him a meal, and Gemini was never one to say no to a free meal. Especially if Phuwin was the one paying for it. He was determined to go all out and buy the most expensive meal on the menu. He was wearing sweat pants and one of Phuwin's well worn T-shirt that he might or might not have stolen from him. His hair was a mess, and maybe a little too long than how he would usually wear it. He was in need of a trim but had been too lazy to do it.

In that scenario with a phone in his hand scrolling mindlessly on social media. Phuwin's white Mercedes pulled up with Fourth sitting in the passenger seat, waving at him with that ridiculous beautiful smile that always made Gemini's breath hitch. He dropped his phone but managed to catch it before it hit the ground, thankfully. It didn't make the situation less embarrassing, though.

"Come on, kiddo. Hop in the back." Phuwin greeted cheerfully.

"I am not a kid." Gemini mumbled but did as he was asked.

"You've grown so tall since the last time I saw you. I bet you are taller than me now." Fourth commented, craning his back to look at Gemini.

"You still look the same." Gemini commented, and Fourth laughed. It was true, Fourth still had the boyish charm about him. He didn't look a day older than the last time Gemini saw him. He looked prettier now though, his jaw more defined and and his cheeks, though looked squishable, had the absence of baby fat.

"And here I was thinking I've gotten bigger after all the time I spent in the gym." Fourth joked, and Phuwin barked out a laugh. It was true. Gemini noticed that Fourth's shoulders were broader. His once lanky skinny arms were  now a bit bigger and filled with defined muscles and prominent veins.

"I meant your face." Gemini clarified, "I can't see the rest of your body, so I can't really tell." Gemini added and cringed internally.

"Do you wanna see the rest of my body nong'Gemgem?" Fourth teased, Gemini knew the older was teasing him based on that smirk he had on his face, but Gemini still got flustered nonetheless at the implications.
