Phuwin hadn't really noticed it. They were all so close and have known each other forever that he just couldn't see it. That was until a new member entered their friend group. Santa. He was Pond's friend from dance class. It was Santa who pointed it out. Sort of.

"Are they like a thing?" Santa had asked, watching Gemini and Fourth lost in their own world as usual.

"A thing?" Phuwin had asked, a little confused.

"Yeah, like boyfriends?" Santa had nodded, looking at Phuwin curiously.

"Nah. They're just really good friends." Phuwin had replied and looked at the pair, and all he saw was just Gemini and Fourth, just like how they've always been.

Later that day, when he was lying in bed with his boyfriend. He thought it would be something funny to tell Pond because how crazy was it that someone thought that Gemini and Fourth were a "thing," but to his surprise, Pond had said;

"I get where he was coming from. When you first introduced me to them, I thought they were a thing, or at least one of them was crushing on the other. That was until I got to know them and realised that's just how they were."

That had Phuwin thinking. How many more people out there looked at Gemini and Fourth and thought the two were dating? Maybe that's why the two were single because, for some reason, people looked at them and thought the two were dating. So Phuwin took it upon himself to observe this from the outside perspective. He didn't have much to do now that Pond will be gone for 2 months for a dancing competition in China.

The first thing he noticed was that the two touched each other a lot. A hand on the shoulder, a pinch of the cheek, hands brushing, and the sort. But nothing that could indicate the two were dating. It was just friendly touches. Friends touched each other all the time.

But Phuwin had time now with his boyfriend gone. So he was gathering Intel.

"Gem, didn't you have a date with Jane last week? How did it go?" Phuwin asked. They were all having lunch together near the art building faculty.

"I did. I don't think I'll see her again, though." Gemini replied, not even looking up at him.

"Why not?" Phuwin asked. Normally he wouldn't be interested in his friend's love affairs but he was bored put of his mind with Pond gone, and he has been so busy with his coding assignment that his head was starting to hurt.

"She's has one of those small dogs that she fits in her purse, and you know how Fot feels about small dogs." Had been Gemini's answer, and he looked at Phuwin like Phuwin ought to know that. And Phuwin did know that. It's just that he didn't see how any of that was relevant.

"But you are not deathly terrified of small dogs." Phuwin had pointed out.

"Yeah, but Fot is. So it's not gonna work between me and Jane." Gemini had said like it should be obvious to Phuwin.

"But Fot isn't the one dating her." Phuwin had said.

"Yeah, but Fot's opinion on who I date is important to me. Like the guy he went out with that wore skinny jeans, he broke up with him because I thought the guy's pants were too tight." Gemini had said, and Phuwin didn't know that. Like he stated previously. He didn't care that much about his friends' love affairs. It was just that now he was bored and his boyfriend was all the way in another country.

"So because the guy wore skinny jeans, and you thought his pants were too tight. Fot broke up with him?" Phuwin had asked for clarification.

"Yeah. I mean, you can never trust a guy who wears skin-tight pants all the time." Gemini had replied like it was some sort of fact of life. Phuwin decided to let the topic rest for now.
