Norawit Titicharoenrak, also known as Gemini, was the only son of the president of Thailand, and although he didn't do much, he played rather an important role in his father's upcoming reinstatement in the upcoming elections. His role was to be the picture perfect of what a good son could be.

Being the president's son wasn't horrible. His father gave him as much freedom as he wanted as long as he didn't do anything to sabotage the campaign. Gemini didn't even have to be involved in politics except for the time he had to make an appearance in order to build relations with the neighbouring countries.

That was why he was attending the stupid coronation of the Prince of Isaan.

Isaan, formally known as Northeast Thailand, consists of 20 provinces in northeastern Thailand. Isaan was Thailand's largest region, on the Khorat Plateau, bordered by the Mekong River to the north and east, by Cambodia to the southeast and the Sankamphaeng Range south of Nakhon Ratchasima That was before there was a whole entire war and it became a country of it's own that was still ruled by the royal family whereas the rest of Thailand was governed by a somewhat democratic government chosen by people.

Isaan and Thailand had built good relations after years of negotiating and change in government and monarchs. There were trading deals going on. They all spoke the same language and shared somewhat the same culture, so Gemini supposed they figured they could work together. This was going to be his father's second term as president after the re-elections.

Gemini, without being biased, would like to think his father has done a great job as president during his term. From the legalization of same sex marriage to the policies put in place regarding a better education system and strategies put in place to provide better health care in the country and overall uplifment of the youth. Now, most of these things were possible due to the trade deal between Thailand and Isaan.

Now, you might be wondering if Isaan and Thailand are on good terms and have a well maintained relationship. Why was Gemini so hesitant in attending the coronation of the Prince? Well, it was simple, really. It was because of the man himself and had nothing to do with the country as a whole.

Nattawat Jirochitkul was an arrogant, self-absorbed, and pretentious prick.

The first time Gemini met Nattawat, he was actually excited to meet someone his age at these political events, and he thought to himself maybe they could be good friends, but no. Gemini had introduced himself to Nattawat and the guy just nodded, not even having the decency to actually utter the words "hello" back and looked at one of his royal servants and said "get me out of here" as if being in the same room with Gemini actually disgusted him.

That was 8 years ago when Gemini's father just started his term, and Gemini was only 11 or 12 at the time. He was terrified and nervous to make his first formal appearance surrounded by old men in suits, and he had really hoped he could make a friend there, but he was wrong. From that day onwards, Gemini has had a strong dislike for the prince.

"That is such a petty reason. You've been holding a grudge against the guy for something he did when he was like, what 10 or 11." Phuwin, his cousin, and part of his father's political campaign said to him.

"You don't understand. Every time I've met up with him so far, it has been a rather unenjoyable experience." Gemini replied.

"That's because you've been holding on to the same grudge for almost a decade now." Pond said, his cousin's fiancé and part of the reason his father had worked tirelessly to implement the marriage equality law. They were so cute together that it was disgusting.
