Teddy and Kane barely slept over the next few days. They'd tracked down a few more of his mother's men, learning more about her operations and connections. Finally, they discovered her main base of operations—a warehouse on the edge of town that served as a front for her empire.

They scoped out the warehouse from a distance, noting the guards and the fortified doors. The place looked like a fortress, with men patrolling in shifts. If they wanted to get in, they'd need to be smart.

"We're gonna need a distraction," Kane muttered, watching the entrance.

Teddy's mind raced as he pieced together a plan. They'd draw the guards out, slip inside, and make their way to the central office, where they could search for documents, recordings—anything that could expose her. He knew it was risky, but the truth about his mother's crimes was hidden somewhere inside those walls, and he was ready to face whatever lay within.

That night, they put their plan into action. Kane set a fire near the back entrance, drawing the guards away as smoke filled the night air. Teddy took a deep breath, steadying his nerves. They slipped through the shadows and moved quickly, pressing into the heart of the warehouse.

Inside, the warehouse was eerily silent, the distant sound of sirens muffled by the walls. They crept down a dimly lit corridor, tension tightening with each step. Finally, they reached the office door, and Teddy jimmied it open with the lockpick Kane had managed to steal days before.

The office was dark and cold, stacked with files and ledgers detailing his mother's dealings. As they searched, Teddy found a box marked with his uncle's name. Opening it, he discovered letters and messages revealing Marlon's involvement with the authorities—evidence that he had indeed been working against his sister to expose her crimes.

Kane scanned the documents, nodding grimly. "This is it, Teddy. This is proof she's been lying to you, to everyone."

But before they could celebrate, the sound of footsteps echoed down the hall. Teddy and Kane locked eyes, realizing they'd been found. The door burst open, and a group of his mother's enforcers filled the room, their faces cold and menacing.

Teddy's pulse raced as he faced down the men, the box of evidence clutched in his hands. He knew there was no way out but through, and with Kane by his side, he felt ready for whatever came next.

The truth was now in his hands, and no amount of muscle would stop him from taking it to the world.
