Taehyung:

Jungkook and I arrived at Hobi's house around 15 minutes ago. Hobi's still out, but thankfully, I had spare keys to his family's house. Namjin are already on their way here both for emotional support and cookies.

During our call, Yoongi mentioned legal details about domestic abuse/violence and how we can report it to the police with his mother's help. Jungkook, however, was hesitant to report his father. Perhaps it's because he, despite how horribly has been treated, is still attatched to him?

Jungkook stretches his legs out on Hobi's couch. "Hey, princess. Can I ask you something?" I ask carefully.

He raises an eyebrow. "You already did." he jokes before he straightens and replies, "Yeah, what's up."

I fiddle with my fingers. "Why don't you wanna report your dad. I mean, I get if your attatched-"

He quickly shakes his head, interupting me. "No, no. It's not like that. I just don't know if my mom's willing to report him. Of course I want him to be reported so my mom can feel safe again." he says, eyes softening. "But," he continues, "it all depends on her. It's her  husband afterall."

My brows furrow. "Regardless, at least a restraining order should be made-"

Jungkook, once again, interupts me. I'm begining to see a pattern here. "Taehyung." Nevermind, I'm all good now. "I love my mom. And if she doesn't want to, I won't make her, but I will try convincing her."

If it was possible, my brows furrow further. "What even happened to your dad, if I may ask?"

His eyes soften even further. He looks beautiful. "My parents loved each other in high school. At the time, my dad made it seem like he could do anything for my mom. Unfortunately, their passionate love buckled them up with an unexpected suprise: me." he explains.

I nod along, my eyes widening slightly. "I didn't know that."

He rolls his eyes and jokes, "Of course you wouldn't." but then continues, "My mom told my dad the news, and he was so happy, he decided to marry her on the spot." he says with a small smile.

I, too, smile. "That's so cute. I'm glad your parents handled early pregnancy so well."

He nods. "Unfortunately, my dad's family was against the whole idea of early marriage. They didn't want anything to do with my mom. It took some convincing, but my dad got them to approve of their marriage."

Wow. I had no idea they had to go through such lengths for Jungkook. So then, what happened?

Now, Jungkook's eyes sadden. "When I was born, everything was going well. My dad finished up with high school, my mom took a break because of me. She didn't end up going back to school after that. My dad never had the time to watch me during the day so she could attend classes anyway." he explains.

"One day, my mom asked my dad to come home early from his office so that she could attend her friend's graduation party. My dad never came home that evening. My mom was waiting, and waiting. He never came." Jungkook says, with a fresh set of tears in his eyes.

I move closer to him and rub circles on his hands soothingly. "It's okay, princess. You can tell me, I'm here."

Jungkook nodded, wiping his tears away. "My dad came home drunk that night. Apparently, he had an unexpected company dinner. My mom was so mad at him; he could've at least told her so she could've cancelled her plans. I was two years old. My mom was yelling at my dad, but I couldn't hear her becuase I covered my ears. I regret doing that now though, because I didn't hear the sound of my dad's wine bottle crash on her head." he says, lips quivering.
